He is doing synced Alexander 4 Savage.
Proper nisi and royal pentacle is a mechanic where boss puts a nisi on 2 players. The nisi is a dot and if the 2 nisi ever touch each other the nisi carriers die and nisis are gone. If player without nisi touch the player with nisi they will get the same nisi. The nisi has a timer and it expires if not passed on. Nisi can not be refreshed other than passing it to someone else.
The name of the game is to keep the nisis on someone for several minutes while doing all other mechanics with lots of stacks and spreads until Royal Pentacle happens.
Boss spawns 6 drones colored either blue or red. Only a player with corresponding Nisi can destroy the drone without dying and they still take heavy damage that can potentially kill them. You now need to have the 6 players without a nisi to grab the nisi from who has it and each player walks into 1 drone without touching anyone else.
Coordinating the Nisis until Pentacle is done tends to take so much effort players prefer to just let the nisi expire and have 3 people to run into the drones and kill themselves. Then healers pick them up.
on my server we made the conductor hunt train party the pvp party and we compete to rescue each other into the aoes. i have the highest kill count. such a blast
which is incredibly silly, because quite a few console players have keyboards. i know when i was still on ps4, i had a keyboard plugged in that allowed me to communicate easier.
This, I borrowed a keyboard from family when I got tired of not being able to text.... Now I'm on PC and still use a controller but my keyboard is in ez access
Super easy to hook a keyboard into the console. Also it’s not wild to think there’s a significant fraction of pc players using a gamepad so this doesn’t block people out from bent controller players.
Beyond that it’s super weird to label it beginner friendly and lock out consoles rather than even making it a requirement to have a proper party comp. It’s just a weird, contradictory listing

Despite the fact that people having made a neat “unreal” adaptation for old savage by modifying your equipped gear so you can play it unsynced.
We got to this fight and he was so adamant that we clear the fight the “correct way” by juggling Nisi to solve Royal Pentacle. He threw a manchild tantrum when I told him I read that even when Alex was current content, apparently only one raid group had a record of “correctly” solving Nisi/Royal Pentacle.
Yea atm we mainly have the OG ExMINE Discord, though it's pretty quiet these days, and The Astrolabe raiding community, also somewhat quieter now. They had cwlss and/or fellowships in the past but I don't think those are active now. These have public Discord invite links.
Then there's also the NightMINE friend group you can catch in PF most evenings. They are the most active running MINE atm, they have cwlss and a Discord. I think it's better to get invited to the Discord by joining them for something in-game first as opposed to a direct invite.
Plus there are a bunch of smaller ones that've come and gone over recent years, or are more closed off groups that may or may not be dormant.

The fact that you can use discord on your phone or ps5 isn't really a good enough excuse to exclude console players if the reason is "wanting to use chat"
Anti console was a thing when ff14 was first release due to the ps4 having a HDD. Those who had a HDD,(including PC), were basically 1 sec behind and assets had a chance to just not load in. For a while it's been a none issue so not sure why this guy has a stick up his ass.
when xbox came out, we had fun games of "find the xbox player" because there was a huge influx of weed-themed names on sprouts lol
we had someone who picked up an xbox license after the fact so they could play on their xbox too, and they'd do the inspection for a gamertag and it was never wrong
If you're playing on PC, you cannot see if someone is playing on PS or Xbox, or even Steam. You need to be playing on the exact same platform as another player to see that. I highly doubt someone who would unironically put "no console players" in their PF is one themselves.
Logs don't really mean that much when the game has timed practice dummy dps checks that you can use to check if your DPS is sufficient for then content.

Man I cleared A4S before 3.1 and barely anyone outside of world first did Nisi properly. Healer sac -> LB3 strat to skip the mechanic was universally accepted by the very small playerbase that was left for the tier given A1-A8's difficulty. Asking for proper Nisi is crazy.
Iirc even the world first clear footage has them saccing. Idk if they eventually did it “properly” but yeah. Maybe im wrong but i know plenty of top groups got their initial kills that way lol

Instead of being mad you should perhaps consider why I made my comment in the first place. At the level I play at it is more or less required to use Dalamud to use at the bare minimum NoClippy and ReAction to prevent queuing and help with spell queueing. 99% of all top players (excluding streamers) use tools and ACT. That's the unfortunate reality we live in if you want to parse well. You can clear content without the tools. And in fact most do because Week 1 savage prog typically plugins aren't even updated. But for top parsing and speeds if you don't use them you are blacklisted. You cannot use plugins on console and that is why you will never see a top parsing or speed clear static ever recruit someone who plays on console. The fact that you either don't know this or choose to ignore it and the fact that you linked me average at best logs with 0 ultimate clears shows your level of skill. DSR and TOP would humble you. Deep down you know this which is why you don't do ultimates. Maybe in the future before getting pissy you should consider why these comments are made. You are not in the parsing sphere so probably don't even know there's a whole ass community dedicated to parsing and speeds. Go clear TOP or DSR. Then you can tell me how much P6 of DSR or P5 of TOP humbled you. You are not as good as you think you are for clearing piss easy savage fights.

World first did it properly. World second did the sac strat and that is what caught on because it was easier.
