Videos show the driver literally spinning her steering wheel the opposite direction of where he was standing while pulling off, as if to avoid hitting him. Yet you see him step forward and put himself back in danger

I will argue against the people who are trying to say she attempted to drive and hit the officer, thus making her liable for attempted murder and justifying fatal force used by the officer. Can you admit that anyone who tries to make THAT case is absolutely incorrect?
Once you take the attempted murder out of this incident, you really can’t justify the officer using gunfire for literally anything, so again, can you admit that she wasn’t trying to hit the officer since I can admit she should’ve not driven away?
It's perfectly possible for this to not be attempted murder but also be a valid self defense claim. As long as he believed and as long as a rational person would believe she was trying to run him over, the self defense is valid. The car was stopped and they were attempting to arrest her and then the engine revved, reversed a bit, then was rapidly accelerating in his direction. This is all obvious from the officer's pov recording. The overhead view shows she was trying to go around him, but it isn't obvious at all from his point of view.
You're correct, she wasn't trying to run him over. He didn't know that though, and the side of her car does hit him. And any steps forward he took were to get her out of the car, he likely didn't think there was any chance she'd floor it so when the engine revved and the car started coming towards him he panicked and fired his weapon.
Obviously we all wish he had leapt out of the way rather than fired his weapon, and I wouldn't be shocked if he went against training and faces some disciplinary action. But he obviously thought she was trying to run him over when he shot.
