As a reminder, this meme sub is about the American Civil War. We're not here to insult southerners or the American South, but rather to have a laugh at the failed Confederate insurrection and those that chose to represent it.
No. If they knew anything and didn't want to say the truth, they'd say "states' rights" or "taxes" or some other nonsense answer. Saying "um" probably means they don't even think anymore. Maybe some of them don't know there was a civil war.
Wow. That's a change of pace. These dumbasses were foaming at the mouth to say "sTaTeS rIgHtS" whenever this came up, but now know that we all know it was slavery, and they try to be like "it is a mystery" like that's valid or something.
Plus, they don’t like states rights all that much when the federal government has a sweep by the GOP and democrat led states are using their rights to fight against stupid and immoral federal policies.
I don’t think it’s that they won’t say it, I think it’s because they actually don’t have a clue because they are that frigging ignorant of their own country’s history. These people are profoundly stupid.
MAGA is the long-term consequence of decades of "social promotion" in schools, where you're too dumb to pass honestly but too old to not be in the coal mines.
I'm absolutely amazed that the one who went into a non sequitur rant about "democrats pushing race too much" was apparently the only one who correctly clocked the cause of the civil war as slavery. Sincerely I was blindsided that she was the one to get it right.
These people are all pro-pedophilia. Every single one of them is glad that Donald Trump raped children. Not what the video was about originally, but they know exactly what the civil war is and why it happened, they just think the wrong side won, and they want to rape kids.
Ha, I saw this video and wanted to share it here. I think these particular people are just profoundly stupid but the people behind Project 2025 are not unfortunately.

They won't admit it.
This
Yeah … when are these assholes ever quietly confused?!
They always have some stupid ass answer for everything at the ready.

"I don't know"

States Rights for me, not for thee.
Forgot the talking points I guess
Crazy that some of them assume the interviewer means a civil war that is currently happening.
I mean, "sin" is not wholly incorrect, but not in the way that douchelord meant.
My immediate thought was "what one", but unfortunately it isn't one

I think that rant was her trying to dodge the question, knowingly or not. Credit on the guy for sticking her to it
This is not "idiocracy", these people are just evil fuckwits.
The Authoritarian Way when in trouble or found to be complicit:
-deflect like mad
-invoke some religion
-act dumber than usual

"I had a black man at my door the other day" is the most milquetoast version of "I have a black friend" I have ever heard.
"I would never have a black friend, but one tried to sell me some tupperware at one point in time."
Dude that shit eating grin on that guy who said "sin." He was so proud of himself.

Yay American idiocy
