We are half-way through our 180 day challenge! Only 90 days left to fill the BINGO card and to meet your personal goals. Do you think you'll make it?

In case you've missed them, here are some BINGO Challenge projects shared recently to the subreddit:

Strawberry dress vest

Bingo project 5: sneaker upcycle

A little rainbow decoration

My first bingo card

Project 4: Carla Rockmore-esque sling bag

  • I've got 6 squares to go! This could be 2 projects or 6.. hoping 2!

Yay! So close! Hoping it is just two more project for you!

  • I also have six to go, but four of them are going to be tough.

Loving the challenge, and continue to recommend it to sewists who hadn't heard. It's great to expand our capabilities.

    Love to hear that!

Which are the ones you're struggling with? I've also got a few that I'm having to do specific things for : -- holiday (in theory this is easy, but ... I don't think it's my "style" unless I found some excellent fabric or decided to make a decoration), -- pattern stash & indie pattern (I self draft almost everything and do own some patterns but they don't call to me like drafting does 🤣)

At this point I might be making a felt Halloween decoration that has legs 🤣🤣 like a spider Plus a pair of PJ bottoms or something (one of my patterns that I've never used)

I made a project post (crosspost) in this sub a few days ago, and made the following remarks on the outstanding six squares:

    • I don't leave UFOs so I am having to look into finishing someone else's for B2.

    • I am decidedly not trendy so popular culture I1 is posing a real challenge.

    • I have a lot of unused paper patterns O4 hiding in my cupboard but no inspiration to use any particular one of them.

    • My buttonholes are terrible so I tend to go for button loops or other kinds of fastenings. However, I'm determined to learn how to do a welt buttonhole, so that will probably be the best way forward for I3.

    • I have plans for Christmas sewing G2 in my favourite colour B3: I'm just waiting for the good fat quarters to come in.

Ah gotcha! I saw your post, that dress is gorgeous! I also don't typically have UFOs although I came to consider any alterations as that too. That list is longer than I care to admit, although it's mostly alterations to bought clothes.

I genuinely struggled with pop culture too. I feel you there!

Alterations as UFOs is an intriguing interpretation. If something is languishing in the wardrobe because I didn't put the zip in straight (say) then redoing the zip to make a wearable is definitely UFO-completion territory.

I shall think about that! Thank you for the inspiration.

Anytime! Good luck with the rest of your squares!
