  • you learn more in season two. you learn, at least partly, WHAT they’re doing. but not really why.

I disagree. I think it explains the why very clearly..

interesting!! i don’t feel that way. i just rewatched it, so it’s still pretty fresh… lumon is just SO BIG… i feel like we’ve only seen one sliver of what they’re doing. spoiler: they’re just trying to see how many consciousnesses they can split one person into, no? but we don’t even really know what the purpose of that is?

Ah, not quite. Think about what they’re subjecting people to and why that would be - particularly in relation to the birthing cabins.

i mean, is it just so they can essentially enslave consciousnesses to do everything they don’t want to?

So they are creating a severing service for rich people essentially. Don’t want to give birth? We can create an innie for you who will handle the pain. A scary flight? An innie for that too. Hate writing Christmas cards? Another innie. With Gemma, they’re testing how many innies they can create, and how much trauma they can inflict (like dismantling the crib) to ensure that the severance process holds up even in the most extreme cases

ok. makes total sense. i guess i did understand that but maybe not to this degree. you’re totally right. thank youuu

    No worries 🫡🫡

  • The work is mysterious and important

  • Patience. I know it isn't one of the nine virtues, but you must have some patience.

  • Just watch the show you silly sausage. Patience is a virtue.

  • They make ether and ether accessories

  • As in legally or down at the severed floor like the numbers and the whole purpose of MDR and the chips?

And a lot of things are unanswered in S1 and S2 answers some, but not all and raises many new unanswered questions.

  • They're very clear about the ultimate goal of the current plotline near the end of season 2. It raises other questions, but everything will make more sense.

  • I dragged my feet watching too and just finished this week. And I was very impressed with how much they revealed. I thought they did an excellent job giving you a lot more information and you definitely understand more of the motivation behind many of the characters. I know what is happening, might not know yet the ultimate “why”. I say go for it! (I also paired watching with the official podcast and the recaps at New York magazine)

  • What mystery series reveals big things on the first season? I understand that it can get annoying when the mystery is dragged down through 3 or 4 seasons, but no first season should give you lots of answers

Edit: Also, if you just want to know the information, don't watch the show, just google it

  • In general, they are a bio-pharmaceutical and biotech company. They make medicines and such. That is mentioned in the first episode. As far as what they are doing in Mark’s department, yes, that gets explained in season 2. Some hints throughout the season, and then a fuller explanation in the last two episodes.

  • The aim of Lumon is to make money.

They are developing a chip to mass market in the billions.

Delete this, OP hasn’t seen series 2.

To be fair what are they expecting? It's either you get spoiled or just watch the show

“That’s all I want to know”. That’s what they expected.

Still it's like searching a character up online and being surprised it auto fills to the death of that character

No my small knob is making me suffer so I shall make anyone and everyone as miserable as I can
