Over the course of this sub's existence, there's been loads of half-hearted referencing and tiptoeing around the strangeness of a black actor's role as an apparently Jewish character Seth Milchick. I've seen someone post a comment claiming to be Jewish with a name that some would assume to be a black person and how that was funny/odd. Other than myself, I don't see anyone saying, "What's up with that???!!!"
It's terribly ironic for this sub about a show that is obviously satirizing slavery, The Civil War, inequality, race, oppression, etc., etc., ............
Anything slightly controversial regarding color/Jewishness/fazcism usually draws a hue and cry for whatever reason. So Meshuggah!!!!
This post itself falls into that tiptoeing. IMO. It's OK to hint but saying anything outright causes a stampede og the trolls in this sub to pillory the transgressor. What is going on with that?!!!
I suspect the post itself is commentary on the absence of discussion around the humor/satire/irony related to so much of the subtext of the show. The band itself is irrelevant imo.
I made this video! I love Meshuggah and Severance. I've made a handful of silly Meshuggah edits on my YouTube channel over the years and when this episode of Severance aired I knew it had to be made 🙃
I owe you a great deal of gratitude! It was thanks to coming across this video years ago that I discovered Severance. It intrigued me and I looked it up and it's now one of my favorite shows of all time so thank you kind stranger!!

jesse what the fuck are you talking about
Wasn't aware of that. Other than the name meaning "crazy" in Yiddish, don't believe the band has any other connection
