If you know which facility he's in you could call and ask. But unless he remembered to list you as a contact they won't tell you anything.
You're probably correct in thinking they are monitoring his med change and I'm sure he'll be in touch soon, so keep a cheerful thought! He's getting help and he's in the best place for it!
In the future when dealing with or discussing his delusions never agree that they are real or support the notion in any way, but neither do you argue or try to reason it through with him. Better to say something like: so, the Masons have installed cameras in your walls, that must be very frustrating. What can I do to help? Try to bring the conversation back to how he is feeling.
If you know his diagnosis read everything you can about it. Watch all the YouTube videos you can find. The more you know the better you can help. Just being there for him will mean a lot.
Try not to worry. Everything takes time and he's actively seeking help, which is wonderful!
Yeah I boiled it down to the only facility in his town, and they won't give info but I left my name and number but who knows if that was given or he even wishes to talk, and I'm very proud he was wanting to seek help, just gonna have to bide time till I hear from him again, thank you so much for the comment!
You're very welcome. You've done what you can, so now it's down to the hardest part..... waiting.
But wait with JOY and remind yourself he is getting the help he set out to get. He'll be in touch soon..... they might start with a "wash out" where he gets no new meds until the existing meds clear his system. I'm not saying that's what is happening, just that it could be and he'd be no comms during that period. Everything will be OK.
Please let us know when you hear from him and meanwhile take good care of yourself! 💖🫂💖
