Today they were supposed to clean the side of the street where my car was parked (from 10 a.m. to noon). I went to check my car at 12.30 pm but there was no ticket. Is today a holiday, or do they skip street cleaning when it rains like today? I’m not sure whether I just got away with it or not.
It’s a holiday but even if it wasn’t they cancel street cleaning on rainy days
Be careful even if they cancel they’ll give you a ticket. Happened to me

Well they literally did so I don’t know what to tell you. I went through the appeals process but I can’t take work off for a sub $100 ticket once it got to that point.

Are these other people in the room with us? I don't see any other comment like yours. You didn't finish the appeals process because you didn't think it was worth it. The parking enforcers drive right in front of the street sweepers. You don't get a ticket from them on street sweeping days until the sweeper is at or a block or two away from you. And once the sweeper passes you can move your car back despite the sign.
That is the normal routine. Something abnormal might have happened to you though but you didn't finish the appeals process.
Yes, I didn't go through every single step because I have work. I lost the first two appeals. Sure, I'll tag you in another comment since you seem to think I'm inventing things.
Also, they drive independently as well. They aren't drones only hovering street sweepers. That's why I got a ticket despite it pouring rain.
I went out to move my car yesterday and saw it was raining and that no one else had moved their car so I assumed no street cleaning. Went outside this morning to a soggy ticket.
