no one knows the answer. but I came across a post about jobs that are hard to replace with ai. i’ll try to find it, but it was mostly trades/nursing/radiology/mechanics/pilots and etc. military has all of those jobs lmao

Go to sea. I work 6 months a year and make a little over $130,000. You have 6 months to goof off and travel. If you don’t have a family, it’s great. Not for everyone, but I like it. In fact, after being off for a bit, I look forward to going back to work.

I’m a Chief Mate on an ocean going tug boat. I live in the mountains. They fly you to the boat and you live on it for 28-60 days. You get a day paid off for each day you work. Takes probably 3-5 years to get to my license level and salary. You can contact one of the unions SIU, MMP or IBU, they have apprenticeships, or go to one of the five maritime academies, which are 4 years but you’d be about where I am now.
