  • and I potentially disagree with the 5k quote

  • how's everybody doin

  • I’m not 100% confident with my answers so if anyone has more experience with this sort of thing, feel free to correct me

  • If you’re looking to do the second, more serious option and you’re picking a car that isn’t offered in AWD or 4x4 trims, you’re going to need a LOT of money. At least $50,000 which is a ridiculous amount

  • As for the cost, for the purely aesthetic option, probably $5,000 ish

  • If you’re looking to just safari a car purely for the looks, the minimum you’ll need are some off-road tires and a lift kit. But if you’re actually looking to go off-roading without getting stuck, you’ll need to do a 4x4 conversion to your drivetrain (if the car already isn’t a 4x4) and possibly new suspension kit with bigger travel and stronger shocks also. Skid plates in the front and back would also be a good idea, and tow hooks (also front and back). If you’re expecting to drive through water you’ll need to water proof the engine bay and maybe think about installing a snorkel

  • anybody know what it'd cost to safari a car?

  • What modifications are required to become a Safari car? I've always had this idea with a W210 E55 AMG.

  • kids only been on reddit for 2 months and asks to be a mod lol. what is the difference between this subreddit, and r/Battlecars

  • thank you
