Check out the Video Game History Foundations YouTube channel. It goes deep into the Sega Channel and it's really interesting.

The question that's kind of answered by reading the article. They're linked at the end under the heading "Another video game preservation win"

Oh, for a moment I thought I would have the chance to find that X-Women prototype in the wild as it is my grail for the system.

Still, a massive achievement, I love the love people have for those projects, congratulations to everyone involved!

I did not know that. Wouldn't the European ones have been in PAL?

I watched this when the video dropped and while it’s such a labour of love and I love that there are active communities doing this sort of thing, the Roms themselves are super underwhelming and I can’t help feeling a bit disappointed with the result

Sometimes though it’s about the history of the development and the decisions made or iterations made upon game development over time.

It’s cool to see developers and publishers grow from barely playable test games or functional engaging games it polished master pieces

They might not be the best games for the system, but the fact we now have every US Genesis release with the Sega Channel exclusives being found was a pipe dream for most people. Honestly even the broadcast data for the service for most of the tenure itself was something I thought would have never resurface.

There are a lot of interesting things with this release. I would have never thought that the Sega Channel version of Pulseman was actually a late-in development build judging from the later release date compared to the Japanese version.
