High fat diet-healthy fats
I recently came across the video of the diary of a ceo with Dr Boz where she talks about the sardine fast and fat intake in the form of butter. I decided to give a go, I couldn't lose anything as I was already struggling with adhd/sct symptoms. To my surprised symptoms improved. Anxiety, executive function, confidence, mood improved.
In the past I had tried keto diet and a couple other forms of low carb diet but it wasn't until I tried sardines and butter that symptoms improved. I had tried omega 3 supplements in the past but had not noticed any improvements, I think bioavailability and how the body absorbs nutrients better from food than pills might be at play here.
I'm not saying this is a cure for all but I noticed improvements. Might be worth a try!
For some reason I do really well with salmon in particular, no other fish gives me the benefits salmon does. Right now I'm looking for pure salmon oil but I only found one that says human grade and the rest are in capsules for the most parts with other additives. I do really well on high fat and protein as well or I starve to death. I can eat all the carbs and other stuff in the world but when my protein and fat intake drops my brain is dead.
Thank you. Very interesting. I'm reading Dr. Boz's book, Anyway You Can, about healing her mom's cancer with high fat, low carb, low protein keto diet. Watched her video about fasting on sardines, which I'm going to try soon.
Omega 3 are highly anti-inflammatory. Sadly neither Omega 3 nor sardines made a difference for me. I need to eat low fat, low bloating diet (no fermenting stuff whatsoever). I think it is called low residue diet.
Can you explain how exactly your executive functioning improved compared to before? How long have you been doing this?
