Blurbs can be the bane of an author's existence - both for self-published authors, who have to come up with an enticing hook all by themselves, as well as for authors seeking traditional publishing, as they are usually included in queries.

We want to help! Post your blurb draft and let the community help shape it into the perfect snippet of info.

To participate, please comment on this thread with the following info:

  • Title: The songs of Sirens Romance, romantacy

Emree Durling is trying to move on with her life after losing her last living relative. Contemplating a fresh start and moving somewhere new has been on her mind, but after discovering a stranger washed up on the beach of her small Oregon coast town, her life changes in ways she could never have imagined.

Cassian Sylvarian is a son, brother, warrior, and a reluctant heir to a realm unknown to most humans. The rules of the Siren monarchy are simple. Be the eldest child in the royal line, have the wits to govern, the respect to command armies, and be mated. While Cassian fulfills most requirements to become a great king, he refuses to mate, making him ineligible for the throne. Believing mating and love can only lead to heartbreak and tragedy, he is determined to abdicate his throne to his younger brother until an unfortunate encounter on a beach puts a wrench in his plans.

Cassian’s brother Sorrix, seeing the depth of Cassian’s feelings and protective rage, invites Emree to participate in the ancient mating trials. A move to force his brother, the true king, to choose between his crippling fear and the woman fate has chosen for him.

All the while, a plot to rip the throne from the Sylvarian family is in the works, and nobody is safe.

Thank you for any and all feedback!
