My WIP has been something I’ve been working for probably the last three to four years. Over time it’s been fully rewritten I’d say two times and honestly looks almost nothing like the original.
At this point I think I’m falling down an endless rabbit hole of revisions and edits and rereads. At my core I’m a perfectionist which might be what’s causing the reluctance to move past the writing stage. I’m also not entirely what to do from this point.
You need to have someone else read it and give you feedback.
Agreed. You’re likely too close to it and need outside perspective. See if you can find a couple of beta readers.
Absolutely this. Have you gotten any outside feedback yet? I know many of us have challenges sharing our work, given our genre does not always get the same reception in some personal circles as others may. What do you see as your next step if you are not feeling ready for other eyes yet?
Sounds like you are in the same boat as me.
You definitely need feedback.
I'm available for beta reading if you're still looking for somebody.
Has anyone ever looked at it but you? It sounds like it's time for some outside feedback, whether that's from an editor or some beta readers.
I’d love to read it for you and help you get unstuck:)
