  • To be honest, the whole Dun Laoghaire to Blackrock stretch will be pretty unaffordable to you. Most studios / 1-beds start at 1600 to 1800 and decent ones around 2,000. Inflation is running rampant and most are new build so they jack up the price. Good luck.

I’d recommend looking westward near Stillorgan / Dundrum. Prices drop down and the connections are still great with all the same amenities.

    Great thanks

Not necessarily, if that’s where you want to live places do come up at that price so don’t give up yet!

    Alright

My friend just got a one-bed apartment for 1300 in ranelagh I’m paying 1200 for a studio near UCD

That’s actually really nice to hear :) both lovely areas. However the south coast is quite swanky and prices tend to be higher due to seaside proximity, I’ve rented here for 3 years now and initially they were around 1500 for a quality studio however have increased significantly

I saw one on daft near Dun Laoghaire recently for approx 1200. I’m Keeping an eye out cos I don’t really wanna live in a studio, it’s grand but not ideal! You can be lucky! All it takes is one landlord who doesn’t feel the need to mine people just cos they can. I had that for years and was paying way below market value for a two-bed but my landlord sadly died. Now I pay more for a studio!!

You would find a room in a share with that budget!
