Actually, I used a combination lock because that's what I had handy from my suitcase. It's not like the rabbit's going to open one of those snap links or a standard lock. :)
I never even thought to use a close pin! Ive always used a small carabiner or preferably an s clip carabiner. I have eight rabbits with three pens and none of them have even been able to break out with those on, except my one brave girl who learned how how high she can jump
Big white bunnies are the most phenomenal escape artists. I once caught one of mine getting over a tall xpen fence by leaping up, landing on her tummy on the edge, and wriggling around until she plopped over to the other side.
that is actually so impressive but also terrifying. my bun does the same thing and honestly i just let him have the room at this point. u can tell she is so proud of herself for figuring that out
My rabbit once did some parkour in my room, hopped over the dirty clothes basket and onto my desk and peed on it. Had to relocate the basket somewhere else so she wont do it again
"Nooo I escaped fair and square!"
My REW is currently trying this behind me as we speak.
Clever girl
Lil velociraptor
I had to put a combination lock on the cage of a previous rabbit or two of mine. They learned to open the doors.
I like the implication that they also learned to pick regular locks.
Yeah, me too.
I use a snap link but it seems like your bunny has thumbs and would open that hence the combination lock ?

Famous last words…
I use a binder clip above the little bar that needs to be lifted up
A clothes pin is perfect for most cage and pen doors. They’re easy to unlock and basically impossible for a bun to unlock. I use a plastic one.

I would 100% recommend listing to this post with sound. OP shocked voice is priceless
I never caught her in the act before so I thought she was lifting the bar with her mouth and not just BONK BONK BONK 😭

my Netherlands dwarf does this, this big oaf of a REW has no idea she could jump over the fence

I had to also use extra security for my bun Usually the clips like ones on leash or so did the trick
A lot of people underestimate how smart rabbits really are!
I know that scene from Jurassic Park lol
Freedom !!!!!!!
Clever girl🦖
Smart girl 😂

My little fucker learned that and he could never be contained again, even with zip ties he'd chew through them.
Good girl
"She's broken through the barricades, fall back!"
I love her. Beat the door into submission.
“These bars? To hold ME?!”
HOW DARE YOU HOOMAN
Yeah, Vodka used to do that. We had to clip the door from that point onwards.
Then the lovely asshole learned how to brute force the clip and then the door.
Had to get a carabiner specifically for that.
Oh noo! I'm glad my girl hasn't figured this out yet! We tried jumping, but it didn't work.
Put a snap link on that
Like the scene in King Kong where the titular ape breaks free and goes on rampage in NYC except this creature far more adorable.
Let her roam free...
Lol
Very impressive.
My bunnie has broken metal clip locks by doing that same thing. There's muscle under that fluff!
metal D-Rings. I had to do this for my escape master.
