Dear all, My Name is Maxim and im Really Interested in Going pro one day. I have Thousands of Hours on This Game and have Never given This a thought up until recently.
Are there any discord Servers for This specifically? I feel Like i dont Know where to Start. Lmk and thx
Like leanne887 said, even if you’re “good enough” you will still have an incredible grind ahead just to get your name out there. Imo esports is 50% skill and 50% luck and networking.
You must also think of your future, unless you are an absolutely cracked prodigy it will be a looongg time to get anywhere near pro if you’re just starting comp. Do you really want to spend all day everyday in the cesspool that is lower comp siege just to wake up one day realizing you have no future in it? Because that’s the most likely outcome.
To start I’d suggest going through looking for team channels on discord servers. (Tbh It will be very hard to find mature and focused teammates in T3)
TPL - https://discord.gg/the-premier-league-741404054927704249
AEL - https://discord.gg/Z2Xphe3Er
Skyline - https://discord.gg/skyline-gaming-community-llc-573486484946944010
It’s a grind and frustrating even if you’re good enough personally because a lot of it relies on finding the right people with the same goals and skill and climbing T3 with them even through roster changes and peoples schedules not aligning and all that jazz. It’s just a whole unstable journey for everyone involved and that’s still IF you are lucky enough to find a stack who is not fucking around. If you are serious about comp do not fuck around and play with people who will keep your aspirations tied to ranked. Study the game, just learn and aim train more. To actually make it to T1, I couldn’t tell you obviously because who the hell am I lol but if you actually make it to a point where you are super dedicated to just grinding out the T3 trenches I think you’ll probably know more than I do at that point. Good luck friend :)
(most of this knowledge is from my experience in NA years and years ago so I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same type of system and culture surrounding it but I can’t imagine it’s super different!)
Go pro hero 13?
Obviously u need to grind it out a lot and be extremely competent not just individually, but as a team, but I feel like one very very important aspect is luck. Obviously, you aren't the only one chasing the dream to go to T1, a lot of people are. Either you win challengers which is by no means easy as you literally need to be the best team out of god knows how much, or you need to stand out EXTREMELY well to catch the interest of T1 teams. So imo, aside from just being good, it might be good to get your name out. Although ten mans itself isn't enough, you can actually grind ten mans especially if your server has experienced T2/T3 or even T1 players in it. The more you play and grind it out, people will know your name. If you build strong relationships with these more experienced players through ten mans and by showcasing your talent, more and more people are gonna start looking at you and maybe even give offers if you are actually good. Imo it's kinda like a recommendation letter for college. You are more likely to be accepted and stand out if a lot of people can vouch for you as a player in your individual and teamplay abilities (obviously ten mans won't fully showcase this but some players can see the insane potential within you if you have it). Despite this, ofc u still have to try to get ur name out the traditional way as well. Enter tourneys, try to place highly, and catch the attention of others. But if you already have acquaintances who actually know you, it will be easier to catch the eyes of others. Again, a lot of making T1 is luck. You can be the best player in the entire fucking world but literally no one knows you exist, thus you never make it. Obviously, u still need to grind it out, u can't just rely on luck and frankly the luck won't come if you are proven to be lazy and complacent.
