This can include schools, public universities, city halls, city parks, national parks, etc. For example, many high schools here have running tracks today the federal public can use after hours but you can't go into classrooms. You can walk around a university campus without being a student or an employee but you may not be able to go inside the buildings if you don't have access

I'm just saying that, as a non-American, we also have freedom, but we can't walk into any building and claim it's public property. We have areas where we can't record without consent, places like hospitals, doctors rooms, banks, police stations, government buildings, etc., because people have the right to privacy when they enter those institutions. We don't have a HIPAA law; we have the POPIA the Protection of Personal Information Act which covers all personal information, not just medical records. Like filming and posting someone in a gynecologist's waiting room, or vulnerable people in hospital waiting rooms, or someone reporting a crime in a police station lobby is violating their privacy. The act covers a whole lot of other things but it’s not relevant to this. Isn’t anyone entitled to some protection of their privacy or is all your personal information just a free for all. Scary stuff
