I wouldn't call the prequels bad, but they definitely are worse than the og trilogy in storytelling, and WAY worse in dialogue, but they're fun, have great action, are VERY quotable, and have some top notch music. They also opened the doors to stuff like the Clone Wars, which is really good, so they at least have sub media that's good.
The prequels ARE bad but they are filled with both very very cool or very very stupid moments that make them memorable and enjoyable. Plus, they laid the foundation for the best piece of SW visual media, The Clone Wars show.

This will be controversial but for a lot of my favorite IPs I actually like the idea/world/ universe better than the actual stories we got. Star Wars and Harry Potter instantly come to mind. Both of them have incredible universes but underwhelming stories. I like the characters too in both IPs, that’s not the problem. And of course each of those 2 IPs sounds and looks incredible. So the only thing left to blame is the actual story/dialogue. It’s a shame
