I recently watched a Youtuber who mainly reacts to old TV shows and cartoons and stuff who unironically talked about how great Starfield was and how much he was looking forward to going back to it in his free time.
So yeah as much as it's hard to believe, the reason slop games exist is because there are thousands of regular people worldwide outside of the usual gaming discourse who will still eat it up and love it for their own reasons.
