I’m from a time before the internet and social media and I can tell you that things definitely seem to have gotten worse!! But I can see now how my relationships back as a teenager and young woman were shaped by the societal norm that women perform and men receive. Men wanted certain things and acted entitled to get them. I was stared at and taunted walking down my high school hallways lined with gawking teenage boys. My boundaries were never respected. I was always pressured relentlessly. Especially for blow jobs. Guys would practically push my head toward themselves to get one. These type things shaped me more than I realized. I am still working thru issues caused by boys who thought they were entitled to whatever they wanted. And the excuses they gave were pathetic, but I held onto them because I thought that’s just the way it was. So yes, I agree with you 💯 And now it’s only 1000 times worse. Dating is an absolute nightmare
