Decided to take a break from the mono-type runs and change it up with a Johto-only randomizer! The abilities I got on these Pokémon was crazy. Suicune was my starter!
- “Dirt Demon,” the Mega-Tyranitar. Ability: Iron Fist / Mega Ability: Beads of Ruin
- Dirt Demon was nasty with Iron Fist STAB Sucker Punches. It cleaned up leftover health of any enemy Pokémon with ease. In the double battle with the champions, mega-evolving debuffed them immensely.
- “Weed Killer,” the Typhlosion Ability: Steam Engine
- Weed Killer was just a fast sweeper. When I predicted a fire type moving coming in, I switched to him to have his speed maxed out. Then it was usually over for the enemy trainer!
- “Town Towel,” the Crobat Ability: Supreme Overlord
- Having Supreme Overlord on such a fast Pokémon was a blessing. It was the best revenge killer I ever had.
- “Lawn Dog,” the shiny Suicune Ability: Stamina
- Stamina is broken on this Pokémon. He stalled pretty much everything. I slapped Snarl on him to make every hit on him look like chip damage, even super effective hits. When I finally got the Assault Vest, he was almost unfaintable.
- “Lord of Weed,” the Jumpluff Ability: Fur Coat
- Halving physical damage on him turned him from an “okay” sweeper to an exceptionally safe Acrobatics sweeper. Thing was a menace and did way more damage than I think a Jumpluff should have. This Pokémon earned my respect.
- “Disasta,” the Lugia Ability: Storm Drain
- Did I say that Stamina Suicune was broken? This thing single-handedly made the Elite Four and the Champion completely free. In the champion battle, I led with Weed Killer and Dirt Demon to bait two water moves, then switched Dirt Demon out for Disasta, ate the incoming attacks and got buffed, then erased their team with Flamethrowers and boosted Earth Powers with no chance of a super effective hit on Weed Killer. I threw Toxic, Protect, and Recover on it as well as Leftovers so that it could stall out the Palkia and Suicune, keeping the water immunities on my side. The real MVP of the run.
