I remember reading a recent thread where everyone was raving about the crisp and cups, so it's interesting that you're the only one to mention them here. I think they're delicious, though.
Hormel has a cup and crisp now that I like a lot more than the regular one. At my store they also have a Boar's head pepperoni log that you can cut yourself, and I prefer that.
I think they have a really bitter unpleasant taste when they crisp up that I don’t get with Ezzo. Really wanted to like them since I can get them locally, but didn’t do it for me
Apparently I’m a super taster, which I didn’t even know was a thing until a few years ago. When the Rosa char around the edge, it’s super bitter. I can’t even really eat them because it’s so unpleasant
I've started getting the deli pepperoni sliced for me at the counter. The stores I go to have a couple different brands like Boars Head, so there's some nice selection. Sometimes I leave it whole, if you quarter it, it's a nice approximation for a regular slice, or sometimes I dice it up and get nice little crispy bits all over the pizza. I definitely think deli pepperoni is slept on a bit, and depending on your stores' selections, there are some really good ones out there. It's also nice to be able to just get a 1/4 lb or so at a time.
They make a reduced sodium version which is great for my needs. It tastes the same pretty much but with 50% less sodium. I actually got into making my own pizza so I could control the salt on my reduced sodium diet.
The Cup and Crisp is as close to Ezzo as I can get locally. It's not even kinda Ezzo, but it is pretty good. The regular stuff is bland. They briefly did a "big and bold" version of the Cup and Crisp (I think that's what it was called) which was excellent, but it's not made anymore.
Too thin for me. Cup and Crisp is a little better but you can get better and tastier results cutting it yourself from a stick. Find all the Hormel stuff to be really lacking on flavor and spice.
1 - Batistoni. Available on Amazon but expensive. But the best I've had by far.
2 - Boar's Head. It's nothing special. But noticeably better than Hormel, and a solid choice if you're not looking for anything extra special. Tastes better, and seems a bit less greasy.
Hormel is cheap and OK, but it's greasy. I prefer Fiorucci sandwich pepperoni fresh sliced at the deli, I cut the slices into quarters to get rounded triangles.
Get the crisp and cup kind
I get the homeless crisp and cup too. But I get the bold version.
Good on you for inviting those struggling pepperonis into your home
Are people calling them unhoused pepperonis now?
Pepperonis experiencing homelessness

Not bad flavor. A little greasy.

I like the hormel Rosa grande, cups up real nice

Ezzo cup n crisp are definitely the best of the best, but rosa grande is cheap and still pretty good.

Huh interesting. I’m using them for my pop up, but if there’s super tasters out here saying they aren’t great maybe I need to find an Ezzo supplier

This is exactly what I do as well. I usually do Italian subs for lunch so it's a good dual use situation.
It’s cheap, taste good. Used to get a pack of it and a box of ritz crackers and eat them together.
I like you
I just got Cup and Crisp for $2 a pack. Bought 4.. they are thin but decent. Prefer Bridgeford, but need to expand my pepperoni game for sure
better than no pepperoni
Gets the job done but I’m sure there’s much better options. Just a matter of if those options are available at any regular grocery store.
Not my favorite, I feel like it doesn’t crisp up the way I like it.
Try the Cup N' Crisp, if you can find it. Not perfect, but a lot better than the normal stuff.
Honestly can’t complain. I think it’s pretty good
Hormel cup and crisp is ok. The cup and crisp bold is better, but it’s hard to find in my area. My favorite pepperoni is Battistoni cup and char.
The Bold isn't being made anymore, sadly.
They make a reduced sodium version which is great for my needs. It tastes the same pretty much but with 50% less sodium. I actually got into making my own pizza so I could control the salt on my reduced sodium diet.
It sure is pepperoni

Not bad - a little greasy
I get bags of the performance pepperoni from the resturant depot. Spicier than regular store bought

It’s fine. Spring for fancier stuff occasionally though.
We've tried half a dozen different brands and always go back to hormel
I buy it in 2lb packs at Costco so it's very cheap, and it's good enough for the price.
It's... Fine. It's my third choice.
What are 1 and 2? I haven't tried too many but Hormel is readily available and inexpensive at Costco.
Answer us!
Since y'all asked, these are my 1 and 2:
1 - Batistoni. Available on Amazon but expensive. But the best I've had by far.
2 - Boar's Head. It's nothing special. But noticeably better than Hormel, and a solid choice if you're not looking for anything extra special. Tastes better, and seems a bit less greasy.
Available
Mediocre, I like boars head pepperoni.
Hormel is cheap and OK, but it's greasy. I prefer Fiorucci sandwich pepperoni fresh sliced at the deli, I cut the slices into quarters to get rounded triangles.
Rosa grande cup and char I get it at GFS.
I like the turkey pepperoni from them.
Cup or gtfo
Reminds me of 7/11 pizza
I never went back once I found out about dijorno pizzas
