Ha, a good friend of mine won't use the outdoor pizza oven if it's too cold. She makes decent pizza (not as good as mine), but you made a solid move.
It’s such a short distance from my slider to my oven or my grill. I’ll pretty much use either in any weather.
I don't have an outdoor pizza oven, I use a baking steel indoors for NY style pizza. I have multiple smokers, a grill and a flattop grill that I use throughout the year, doesn't matter how cold and snow is on the ground. Respect.
