Holy AMAZEBALLS!! How did that place not go up in a fireball?! 😯 I'd say someone better be counting their lucky stars they still have a house after seeing that!
Lotta house fires start that way actually. And I don't know of any dryer that has such an alert..?? Either way, it's extremely dangerous to get that much build up n thankfully that was cleaned out!
this happened at a dorm a year before i started attending a deaf school 1995-2000, i was told the dorm caught on fire because nobody ever cleaned out the lint, so i whenever i was doing laundry at home, my mom noticed i ALWAYS clean out the filter after EVERY SINGLE LOAD, and was surprised and asked why and i told her what happened at the dorm. it's 2023 and i still clean the lint after each load. my friends that live with brother and i were like, why? even the kids were like, TIMOTHY STOP! so, i would ask the kids if they'd like the house to burn down? NO NO!!! I WANNA STAY! ok, then clean lint after each load. we have a trash can easily in the laundry room near dryer to throw away lint

Sure looks like their dryer would have alerted them since its trap would always be clogged

I said that in relation to the person cleaning the trap buildup or noticing that time required to dry had increased — not an alarm per se
Ahhh... 😉
Yup
Little bit of lint
