I really dislike how most designs for elemental variations of existing enemies are just the same enemies but color swapped. Why is the chilly hop just color swapped yellow wollyhop, at least make the base the white wollyhop since they are mainly in underground environments. idk, what do u guys think about this

  • It's pretty lazy yeah, would have loved if they had just a bit more to their design. That said, I do like some of the mechanics they introduced, imo, the bulborbs are the golden standard in this (interesting mechanics + unique enough design)

like what it a firey wollyhop had holes on its side so when it smashed down it released fire through the holes because yeah but no we got the firey young yellow wollyhop

The ice bulborbs are actually pretty cool in this game tho ngl

  • Feel like the hump of the chillyhop could be played off as a fat store, which fits for something that doesn't eat often, but its pattern definitely should have been different.

Ehh yeah i guess, does the regular wollyhop eat tho? it doesn’t have a big hump really

  • Sure they have cool writing but im talking about design here

  • Literally my biggest issue with the enemy cast of Pikmin 4.

In Pikmin 2 and 3, new variants of pre-existing enemies weren’t just “they’re big now” or “they’re on fire”… and even when some of them were (firey bulblax for example), they had really neat and different designs rather than just a color and texture swap :)

(My second biggest issue with the cast is that most of the bosses are just copy and pasted from pikmin 2 and i’d like a but more originality)

  • One of my exact complaint in other game they would have original designs like the withering blowhog but the lazy ass Devs don't know how to do anything but upscale the model or change the colour!
