No it’s not lol. It’s a reference to this

  • Ja"bug" edition?

    Lagva edition

    install sodium then edition

ah yes, the install third party solutions to fix the broken base game edition.

The game actually isnt as unoptimized as it once was. A lot of the more recent updates have actually been huge preformance hotfixes

seriously, i haven’t actually seen much of a performance increase with sodium! and i can run max render distances without my game becoming a slideshow!!!

at least in java you have the free option, bedrock is just broken, with paid mods

you can still get free bedrock content on pc/mobile (on console you cant though, but I would argue this isn't the fault of bedrock itself but rather due to how consoles have always been so limited, plus on console your only options for even playing mc are either the old console version of it or bedrock)

i just generally have disdain for paid content for minecraft, i do see your point though, bedrock has great performance but the bugs that mojang refuse to fix make the game flawed, like the bug that causes you to randomly die, or the bug that causes you to randomly fall through the world

And the paid mods don’t fix performance

    bedbug edition

  • i mean it’s not wrong. java has way more issues. it’s just that they get called “features” or are ignored because “you can use mods to fix them”. i play modded java all the time and it’s definitely way less stable than bedrock.

Also remember 1.13 snapshot cycle? And 1.15 when they changed the rendering engine? - It was as buggy or more than today's bedrock, and way more crashes/chunk corruptions.

i should mention- java definitely has the potential to be much higher quality than bedrock. the issue is that it falls on the player to find safe mods and provide enough pc resources to run the game at this high level. bedrock is and always will be infinitely more accessible and user friendly, while java will always be more technical and geared towards modders, programmers, and hardcore fans with elaborate pc setups.

How? Cause like I've barely ever modded and it's pretty simple... you press play then singleplayer or multiplayer. How is bedrock more user friendly? The marketplace doesn't seem to really be user friendly

i barely mod too. and yes, it certainly can be easy, but a lot of the time it requires extensive debugging and a good amount of knowledge about modding. having to pay for a third party server for multiplayer is complete garbage. like literally name one other modern game that still uses LAN as a primary connection method??? java multiplayer* needs to be seriously overhauled or scrapped.

Scrapped??? What the fuck are you on about?? Why would you ever scrap java. That's stupid. Yes there should be peer to peer connections like what steam does. But you need lan for bedrock multiplayer without realms too... And without modding it is simple.

sorry, i meant to say java multiplayer*

exactly, yet nobody mentioned it or cares to acknowledge the fact that it’s still not much better!

    because they got fixed

Yes they do, but lately it seems the playerbase is much less forgiving when a bug or crash sneaks in, almost like thinking they were not going to fix it, or saying How dare they let a bug like this happen - or even worse, thinking it was a feature.

yeah but when the bug is that minecraft bedrock was unplayable on windows with a mouse for like a week that is inexcusable

“unplayable” when the solution was playing on a single monitor, right. far easier than downloading several mods to make java run smoothly, if you ask me.

java runs fine without mods on fair hardware, and even better with mods. having to play with one monitor is not a solution, and that’s not the only glaring issue with bedrock.

java does not run fine without mods. and while playing with one monitor wasn’t a permanent solution, it was an easy one that worked.

recently minecraft has been putting out massive performance fixes. play the most recent version on a computer that isn’t trash and it will run great.

Fairly sure java fixes almost all major issues like that quickly, but tbf java performance sucks

my main issue with java is that it’s supposed to be the beefy string version, but it’s so wimpy and pathetic when it comes to optimization. the inventory and ui menus are archaic, the multiplayer still uses LAN, and it runs like a 90’s point and click adventure game. if they could fix any one of these things then it would already become better than bedrock.

no it's actually because the java edition bugs are rarely gamebreaking — and if they are, the patch to fix them is rolled out a few days after, at max a week

on bedrock it takes months, if not years for a bug to be fixed

the memory leak/pink glitch were patched 3 days after being discovered. people just refused to update their games. same thing with the curser thing, which was hardly game breaking admittedly

  • Java is completely fine...
