Do people just tend to ignore the fact there's a whole community of creators who make mods and other content for bedrock that's not associated with the Minecraft marketplace?
People think bedrock modding is ruined only because of marketplace but they are ignoring the actual creators who make for free and they are a reason that bedrock modding is ruined. They think whole bedrock is about marketplace lol
Yeah it's annoying, I would know cuz I've helped with and made a mod myself back then, these sort of people who just spam "bedrock is shit cuz marketplace" feels so demotivating, mostly with how many agree.

And if we cant find it, we just go to r/freeminecraftmaps and decode the cipher in base64. It makes it like an adventure if you think about it and i like it, instead of grumbling about marketplace
What does that have to do with Microsoft not optimizing it's game and prioritizing funneling players towards the marketplace because they'd rather take money than earn it?
We can get them from the place you get too: INTERNET. Its not hard to find a pirate of a mod just search for it in freeminecraftmaps and copy paste the base64 code
You got downvoted, but you’re correct. There’s very few people that play bedrock and n pc so it’s mostly consoles and phones.. you can’t modify files on consoles so you’re leaving out a large chunk of the bedrock players
it's cherrypicking. there are also good paid addons. but to find then you need to do actual research instead of doing "they showed me few cases of something bad so that means everything there is bad" research
prices are set by authors, so it's author's greed not company greed
lack of moderation is problem, indeed. but as I said firstly you can do research about said addon and secondly you can just not pay at all and use free alternatives

There is no financial incentive to moderate it therefore a marketplace will NEVER work. It's that simple. Don't open the door in the first place.

This just isn't true, first 5 skin packs I searched required payment for all the skins. You could also make half of them yourself in under 30 minutes most of them aren't very good.
How is it corporate greed? Sure getting pop-ups is annoying… but you don’t need to spend money on microtransactions to play minecraft. Most bedrock players I know haven’t spend a single cent. All the stuff you need to spend money is is entirely optional and doesn’t effect the main game in any way
The only spend that i did for Minecraft BE was an knockoff XBOX controller becuase playing with touch controls are ass, Wich is funny because a grew up playing Minecraft PE on a cheap android tablet that had barely 500 megs of ram

they also take extra minecoins, I once got a resource pack and it was 320 mine coins, I had 2000, I bought it and had 460 minecoins left
