You just can't please everyone. Closeup over the years have always emphasized boy-girl relationships. This old approach, of course, does not attract those that are attracted to other kinds of relationships, and those who aren't in that kind of boy-girl love stage anymore. A big chunk of marketing is about figuring out who to please. So I guess the marketing department took a calculated risk to target a demographic different from their usual targets this time.
Let's see how this goes, kasi other companies that did such polarizing shifts with their marketing campaigns had their sales suffer afterwards. Bud Weiser in the US was one such big loser with their version of this type of campaign. I think Disney also took a big beating with their movies that tried had similar elements in them.
