When people want to secede or want authorities not to murder others in cold blood. When people want better healthcare or better transportation. These are all indvidiual interests or if there are a lot of individuals working together to further the interest, then it's a group interest. Which is a big part of politics. Cause people aren't gonna agree, so of course a group will need power and influence to get what they want. Some people even try to get elected to get this power and influence. We call them politicians. You know, cause they practice politics.
