I usually do, but the break in 2022, I had zero alcohol.
In 2020, I drank for most of a two month break from weed, but didn't the final two weeks.
The withdrawals tbh are worse with no substance to substitute with but they do get better.
I need to save up a ton of money to be able to do stuff that I enjoy, sadly I haven't in the better part of a year because I simply couldn't afford it as it was all going to vices like weed, beer, cigarettes and caffeine.
In my Quit Weed app, I put December 18, 2025 at 7:30 a.m.
I have no idea how long this break will last, nobody knows, but in my opinion, this break has a higher chance of at least getting close to the top 3 breaks I've ever taken.
Like a thirsty fish. Brain need Feel Good Chemicals. No weed means the Feel Good Chemicals have to come from somewhere else. A lot of my friends are in the same boat, we call it having Junkie Brain.
no but tons of herbal tea
Valerian, chamomile etc
I'm on day 7 of tapering off. Coming off an approx 1,500 mg/day RSO habit
Its painful and I'm still taking about 700/day
By this time next week I will be at zero and that is when the fun really begins
Currently am drinking, day 8 off weed. However, I’ve had my battles with alcohol (and harder stuff) and I feel in control of my alcohol consumption. Nowadays drinking is very mid because I can’t read or write which are the hobbies that pulled me out of the addiction cycle in the first place. Also in my 30s so hang overs hurt a lot, lot worse now and are great incentive for moderation.
My end goal is total sobriety. I managed 2 years straight from 2015-17. I know it’s corny but it really is a stupid journey.
