Straight Hate??? I know a lot of gay guys who definitely don’t hate straight guys. Quite the reverse in fact. Most of the gay men I know have a lot of straight women friends. Now I personally don’t know many lesbians but I feel sure they have very positive feelings about straight women too.
I think a lot of people who talk about “straight hate” are talking about hating rapists and bigots. They, quite reasonably, associate these traits with being straight but I’d dislike a gay or trans bigot just as much as a straight one.
Yea I mean it's the entirety of the conservative worldview laid out for you to see. Pure binary logic. Black/white, good/bad. If you're "for" Gay People, that means you're "against" Straight People. Ergo a gay pride flag is a straight hate flag. This person probably believes this with every fiber of their soul.
We really need a gay communist president who creates an ICE-like agency that brutally rounds up white straight conservative men and sells them to labor camps in Eswanti and Sudan. That would be really cool. But I also know it would never happen, because only straight white conservative men are able to get away with that sort of thing.
It's kind of stereotypical that evil people are incapable of comprehending goodness… and yet, that stereotype is often true. Then again, evil and stupidity/ignorance tend to be more of a circle than a Venn diagram.
As a lesbian, I have a brief moment of sorrow when I see a hot lady with long fingernails, but that's the only negative emotion I feel towards straight women.
I have friends who are gay, trans, bi, straight, atheist, Christian, Muslim, etc. (no lesbians atm, the last turned out to be a dude). All great people, all living their best lives with an intense lack of hatred for each other. We are all, as you said, united in being disgusted by deplorable shitheads, but we're very inclusive in that regard. You're never too gay to be called out on your shit, because equality is important.
I guess that's what people clutching their pearls over "straight hate" mean - if you're the kind of deplorable shithead who tries to pretend that not being allowed to persecute actual marginalised groups, you're damned right we're going ask you to kindly shove your nonsense up your bum and fuck all the way off. They just don't understand that sexuality has nothing to do with it. You're not persecuted buddy, you're just an asshole.
P.S. Apologies for the heavy use of expletives, but I found it necessary to accurately convey my feelings (and also because I find it funny that the most hateful biggots also tend to be the most triggered by foul language).
I truly don't think people know what Freedon of Speech is anymore. It's like playing Ring Around the Rosy as a kid, you say it because everyone else has said it before you but you don't really process what you're actually saying so it's meaningless. It's not about the literal meaning of the words, it's just something you say.
These are the same assholes who would have decried the abolishment of slavery as government overreach, unfairly harming small business owners. It's wild how some people can convince themselves that not being allowed to make other people's lives a living hell is the same as being persecuted. They genuinely feel that their rights are violated if they're not allowed to strip others of theirs, and they can't even see the contradiction.
I mean, there's always the possibility that this is just S-tier sarcasm (or trolling), but I'm not holding out much hope.
Straight hate flag? Conservatives can only think in binary. Love or hate. Like or dislike. No nuance or context. Gets tiring dealing with their bullshit.
One of the major concepts of Christianity is that humans are inherently flawed and incapable of forgiveness without the intervention of Christ. This is why Christ had to die brutally, to free us from the sin of Adam and Eve. Our very thoughts are sinful and worthy of eternal separation from the divine. It's a fucked up religion to say the least.
And on top of it the modern version has tricked people into thinking there is such a thing as "salvation through faith" in their holy book, so that all they have to do is say "I believe Jesus existed and accept him into my heart" and boom, pow, they can now be the biggest assholes on the planet because they are saved by that one little neat loophole of a trick. Yet the Bible itself says in James 14:26 " You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone." It also says only 144,000 people will be saved in total.
The last thing you said about the 144,000 people is absolutely incorrect.
The 144,000 are specific descendants of the 12 tribes of Judea who will be protected from harm during the tribulations. Nothing about them being the only ones that "get saved".
Not even a Christian (anymore) and that claim sounded so absurd I had to look into it and... Didn't take long to learn what it actually says.
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.”
You didn't mention my thing, you hate my thing. You mentioned someone else's thing, you hate my thing. If I'm not centered in the conversation, it's hate against me. If anyone else is centered in the conversation, it's hate against me.
They even say I have a persecution fetish... but at least they talk about me there.
Yup. If you aren't ashamed of yourself, you must think you're better than us. Gay pride, black pride, hell even autism acceptance, they see each and every one as a challenge to their supremacy.
See Black Lives Matter for examples of this. The phrase and movement doesn't mean others don't matter, it means that THEY also matter. Conservatives, of course, took this as they don't matter, hence the backlash of "all lives matter" and even "blue lives matter", which also corrupts the BLM acronym to their own meaning while ignoring what it was to be in the first place.
The unwillingness to admit any wrong doing or that anything could possibly be wrong or taken as wrong with their "values" is also tiring. It will never be their fault. It will never be anything but a deflection or whatabout.
That is not what the rainbow means. Each color has a specific meaning the creator ties to an aspect of the gay community. It’s explicitly GAY PRIDE and that’s important, fuck off with the all lives matter shit.
Someone genuinely called me close-minded and bigoted once for saying that we should respect trans people's pronouns. What the fucknis wrong with these people.
Does he think it's illegal to fly a flag that's a hate symbol? If I go on my neighbors yard and snatch their nazi flag, I'd also get charged with criminal mischief.
Every time I read these wild comments of people I realize how effective propaganda is. Like look how the they moved the whole LGBTQ+ movement to „straight hate flag“.
A Pride Flag is literally the idea we are all free to be our own color. Pick purple, or pick one that isn’t close to purple, no hate, just freedom of choice.
Just the other day, I made the mistake of being too manly and morally superiour in public, marking me as an obvious straight follower of White Jesus. This triggered the Islamist lesbian coven across the street so much that they alerted the Gaystapo, who promptly showed up and accosted me. They viciously verbally assaulted me, mocking my outfit and haircut until I was reduced to tears and sank to my knees, begging for mercy. Only my manly, totally straight love for our lord and saviour Donald Trump (PBUH) kept me from giving in and declaring myself a follower of Atheismo just to make it stop.
Stay strong in the faith, brothers and sisters. Gay evolutionism must never win!
(And I swear to mighty Atheismo, if you make me include /s here I will lose my shit)
That’s exactly what they hoped you’d say after they got critical mass to believe it’s OK to say all of it believe all of it and do all of it. No one is arguing that there aren’t real people. I’m arguing that our enemies want us like this. And I have not heard a compelling a case that Says otherwise.

I am beginning to think that a lot of these people are saying shit like this with the sole intention of provoking/enraging people, not because they actually believe what they are saying.
"It's my free speech to steal someone else's property."

“Straight hate flag” is projection if you ask me. They hate gay people and assume they are hated back.
They're just afraid of being treated the way they treat minorities.
We really need a gay communist president who creates an ICE-like agency that brutally rounds up white straight conservative men and sells them to labor camps in Eswanti and Sudan. That would be really cool. But I also know it would never happen, because only straight white conservative men are able to get away with that sort of thing.
Plus we are not bloodthirsty monsters.
Conservatives always assume everyone is as evil as they are.
I mean, if conservatives didn't have something to hate they'd have nothing at all.
It's kind of stereotypical that evil people are incapable of comprehending goodness… and yet, that stereotype is often true. Then again, evil and stupidity/ignorance tend to be more of a circle than a Venn diagram.
Yep. That's exactly what this is.
America has a serious fucking problem. And it starts with these fucking traitors.
As a lesbian, I have a brief moment of sorrow when I see a hot lady with long fingernails, but that's the only negative emotion I feel towards straight women.
You never know, could be a lesbian going through a bit of a dry spell and taking the opportunity to grow her nails long for a change
It really just crushes the dog whistle of the Confederate flag
Yep, they mean "normal" people like them when they say "Straight hate" and are deliberately unaware that being queer is normal, too.
I have friends who are gay, trans, bi, straight, atheist, Christian, Muslim, etc. (no lesbians atm, the last turned out to be a dude). i have two best friends, one is a pansexual woman and the other is a straight man, and i happen to like them equally

Straight hate flag? Conservatives can only think in binary. Love or hate. Like or dislike. No nuance or context. Gets tiring dealing with their bullshit.
When they read "love thy neighbor" they were upset because they thought the Bible was telling them to "hate thy self".
Which is actually not far off given how some passages tell them how to act.
One of the major concepts of Christianity is that humans are inherently flawed and incapable of forgiveness without the intervention of Christ. This is why Christ had to die brutally, to free us from the sin of Adam and Eve. Our very thoughts are sinful and worthy of eternal separation from the divine. Well…. According to Jesus in Luke:
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.”
“Yeah, but that makes Jesus sound like a religious bigot preaching an apocalypse, and that’s not what I want him to be.”
'That's my pastor's job!"
I genuinely can’t imagine thinking like that, but alas.
It's depressing
It's also projection. I hate them, so they must hate me.
Conservatives are always projecting because they don't have the imagination to consider that other people don't think the same way that they do.
Because hating gay men is a part of their "straight" identity. It's even more important to them to prove they're straight than getting pussy.
It's gay to have sex with women, according to the uber-alpha Tate guy.
Fr
I bet he’s got ‘hate every country other than America’ flag outside his home!
And why wouldn't he? America is the only country in the whole world that has freedom, after all.
Waffles and pancakes fallacy ass mindset

I'm calling the police any time someone is wearing the clothing or showing support for the opponent of my favorite football team.
It means they hate your team. Only possible answer.
What he means is he hates it.
I also get tired of people who reply to accurate takes like yours with "those aren't rEaL conservatives."
Um, yes... yes they are.
The unwillingness to admit any wrong doing or that anything could possibly be wrong or taken as wrong with their "values" is also tiring. It will never be their fault. It will never be anything but a deflection or whatabout.
Also, for them, if you don't worship your local far-right figure, you are basically a Commie that worships Stalin, Mao, Castro and Maduro.
Straight hate? What?
They really want to pretend they're victims. That way, they can pretend oppressing others was an act of self-defense by freedom-loving heroes.
Ironic they portray us or other minorities as playing victim, and then turning around and doing it themselves.
It’s always projection with them.
The whole idea behind the rainbow thing is that it is a spectrum, all-inclusive.
That is not what the rainbow means. Each color has a specific meaning the creator ties to an aspect of the gay community. It’s explicitly GAY PRIDE and that’s important, fuck off with the all lives matter shit.
😂
Aw, did poor Gavin get told to take his Nazi flags down?
WALTER WHITE?!?!?!
"I HATE THEM RAINBOWS JESSIE"
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT MR WHITE"
Conservatives love to attack kids
If you think inclusiveness is hateful, then you're an excluder.
Someone genuinely called me close-minded and bigoted once for saying that we should respect trans people's pronouns. What the fucknis wrong with these people.
I'm hoping that was online because if someone said that to my face there would be hands.
It was online, and same honestly.
Same party that detests criminals and vandalism.
It’s really sad
Pretty sure anyone can hang this straight hate flag Gavin
A Pride Flag is literally the idea we are all free to be our own color. Pick purple, or pick one that isn’t close to purple, no hate, just freedom of choice.
We need to implement a rule where you have to blur out Twitter user handles so we stop giving these troglodytes attention.
These exact type of posts are the exactly what those bot accounts and other trolls want you to do.
Well, he knows that when he sees another guy with a confederate flag it's safe to use the hard-R pronunciation so...
Love is not a finite resource. Extending it to someone doesn't take it from anyone else.
Gavin-ostrich is probably a Russian troll
I fly this flag and I am straight. 2 out of the 3 people in this house are straight. It’s called being an Ally! :D
I Stan those two kids, and hopefully, they’ll stay safe after this.
I wish these folk would learn to love themselves, rather than feeling excluded when they see groups they aren't in loving each other.
Just the other day, I made the mistake of being too manly and morally superiour in public, marking me as an obvious straight follower of White Jesus. These bozos can’t separate ”you are free to” and ”you are allowed to”.
Then the same people say "I am not homophobic. I just don't want gays to force their beliefs on others"
Username checks out because that dude has a brain the size of a walnut.
This whole sub could also be called “probablyahatebot”
Nah. Do you see who is in control of the US government right now? These people exist. They're real. And unfortunately, there are a lot of them.
That’s exactly what they hoped you’d say after they got critical mass to believe it’s OK to say all of it believe all of it and do all of it. No one is arguing that there aren’t real people. I’m arguing that our enemies want us like this. And I have not heard a compelling a case that Says otherwise.
This just sounds like you're desperate to believe some conspiracy.
"you don't have to invent a secret shadow government, you can just be mad at the government"
If you don’t believe that, our enemies are using ops against us I don’t know what to tell you, buddy

Further proof that hatred is learned
I am beginning to think that a lot of these people are saying shit like this with the sole intention of provoking/enraging people, not because they actually believe what they are saying.
Explain to me, slowly, how supporting LGBT+ is hating straights.
Wow, Jamie from Mythbusters has taken a dark turn.
