A big part of this is that they don’t understand metaphor or allegory, and take “Heavenly Father” to be literal.
My thought has always been that the more anxious they get about "threats" to their religion, the weaker their faith.
She didn’t mention Jesus at all, she said god. Jesus is the son of god, in their belief system. Nowhere did I read that they said hated god or Jesus.
