So I got a Pilot Custom Urushi recently. It is by far the best pen I have used so far, but I cannot get to decide whether to keep it or not. I’m not sure it’s the kind of pen it makes sense to throw in a bag and lug around to work etc. So, I decided to let luck decide. If it sells, I was meant to sell it. If not, I’m meant to keep it and use it. (It worked with my Aurora WTS!)
So, selling a Pilot Custom Urushi in Vermillion with an M nib. Condition A2. It was bought new 10 days ago and has been inked once. 750 Euros + Ships. I’m located in the EU so that would be best.

For your futures sake, I hope it doesn’t sell. There is something abstractly profound about carrying a pen that most people keep under glass.
Haha, I guess so! And it truly does write unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.
That’s an amazing pen and they write like the dream they’re supposed to. It’s definitely not the pen to toss in a bag, without proper protection, and I think the <M> nib is the perfect width and where Pilot really hits the mark. Someone should buy that from you! But I also hope that you keep it and continue to enjoy it. Sorry, and GLWS!
Thanks! It really does. I love the bounce it has and I find it has a much more pleasant feeling than the M on the 823 I have which may be too smooth maybe? Less character that’s for sure.
Get a rickshaw pen case/pouch and keep it.
This!
I'm a little tempted, not going to lie, but I've bought SO many pens already in the past year...
I can only say you can buy with confidence from this seller, I bought pens from him before and he's the real deal.
Very kind, thanks!

Grazie!
Stunning! GLWS
They will have to pry my PCU from my cold dead fingers. I may be buried with the thing. I carry mine in a limited fashion around work. GLWS sort of but not really. You just need to buy a pen case and take it with you.
Thanks for this. I truly can’t make my mind up. I was just writing with it just before your message and was enjoying the nib so much. What pen case(s) do you have/would you suggest for it? Any link or brand or whatever, especially if it doesn’t break the bank, will be appreciated.
I just have one of those silk ones like they come with. I drop it in there most days. When I’m going around at work I have a TULA journal with a really big stretchy pen holder slip on it I tuck it in. I take it for meeting notes to a few places. That sucker gets used on the daily.
I use my Namiki Emperor regularly (including carrying it to work) so I don’t see why you would think this is not to be used! I’d say keep it and use it!

replied and will not be moving forward with a sale due to tariffs and not the pen itself. Good luck with your sale!

Doesn’t a new pen sell for that price? What am I missing?
Where?
Here although it’s the red one: https://appelboom.com/nl/pilot-custom-845-urushi-red-vulpen/ and €614 excl. VAT for outside Europe.
In the U.S. that pen is $1600 or $1361 euros. I would say it is a hell of a deal.
