I should’ve said “it’s also rude to butt into conversations that don’t concern you” but I didn’t.
Its such entitlement, paranoia, and insecurity. Why think other people are always talking about you? Did you do something? Why do you think you are worth talking about? And if they are talking about you, so? Why do you feel entitled to know what everyone is talking about?
They are also telling on themselves as assholes because if they could speak another language, they'd use it to talk shit about everyone around them all the time.
Not necessarily boomer behaviour, there is some interesting research that shows conservatives have larger amygdalas. Making them more fearful and prone to being emotionally overwhelmed.

I will never understand this shit. It's easier to learn Spanish than it is to put energy into being this much of an asshole. Anyone who's grown up in an area with Mexican immigrants and paid any mind to their high school Spanish class can figure it out.
My family came here before Mexico as a country existed. We spoke a distinct version of Spanish that is going extinct because of dumb ass shit like this. I don't speak Spanish fluently because my grandparents didn't want to be viewed as Mexicans (which to be honest we aren't but it's a complicated situation.) If we want to talk about who belongs here then as a descendant of the first colonizers I can assure you that it is all a bunch of bullshit that does nothing but hold us back. We stole the land, the land got stolen from us later. It's nothing but backstabbing and ethnic cleansing from one group to another. It's time to end it.
