I'm aware of the gimmick of the babylon bee but very rarely they post something that appears to be shitting on conservatives and I have to stop and try to think what their possible angle is, like in what world is this story anything but pointing out that trump is a piece of shit who doesn't do anything useful
Theres a Big Joel video that points out that whenever they do these articles that are “critical” of Trump, they are often very soft punches (this one, for example, is basically more critical of Hayes then it is of Trump).
Ultimately, this kind of soft humour, while technically making fun of Trump, is also pretty normalizing. As in, these plaques are not something to be seriously concerned about, just worthy of a light chuckle at the water cooler.
Or, as another example, joking that the president might serve Diet Coke in the White House ballroom, essentially normalizes the idea of the ballroom itself.
I look forward to the next president who will televise reversing and destroying all of the desecrations to the White House and other buildings in the capital. The next president should stream this 24 hours until it's done.
