Actually it is because they are getting American support that they have to Ukraine is a vassal state, their foreign policies have to align with the USA. I don't blame Ukrainians for this, it's foreign policy bullshit.
That article is from 2024, when Ukraine was still relying on support from the US. And it was after October 7th, so it’s no wonder that Ukraine was backing the US decision at that time.
They still need US weapons to keep Russia from advancing faster. If they don't vote with Donny and Bibi then no more aid for Ukraine and they will be the next Gaza. See how politics work
Well, yes but they have full support of eu. Financial and military. Europe sees it already as a hybrid war. Somehow europe recognizes that settling on someone’s land is bad when this land belongs to white people and white people only. I can see how politics work. Thank you
And the most important point to consider is Ukraine's yes vote wouldn't have saved a single life. It's not just a matter of politics, it's a matter of survival.
I wouldn't hold it against a Palestinian if they abstained from a vote about Ukraine. They both have their own serious problems to focus on.
I’m sorry but this is the first i heard of this happening in Yemen, a genocide? What the heck do you have a link or something so i can read about it?
If i remember correctly everyone says what’s happening in Yemen is a civil war between the Yemeni people and two departments of the government trying to take control of the country.
On a side note i have met many Yemeni brothers in saudi arabia who have been blessed with a business they make their livelihood on and massive families, Yemeni people are actually one of the most business savvy in Saudi Arabia so idk why would there be a genocide perpetrated by the government when here they’re treated as one of their own…
They haven't but the others at least are on their side vocally. This is an extra slap on the face when despite being Muslim majority, you don't care enough to give a visual gesture
Albania is extremely diverse in terms of religion. Furthermore, most Albanians are de facto atheists and religion is more about picking who you think made the world and where are you going each Sunday.
They rely heavily on U.S. aid. The Marshall Islands, Nauru, Micronesia and Palau were among a handful of countries that opposed Trump moving the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem
Palau and Micronesia were formerly US ruled territory and their citizens enjoy freedom of movement and employment in the US, plus the countries have access to US federal programs. They’re not likely to risk angering the US
I had this same thought and a friend (who is an islander) pointed out that Tonga, Samoa etc are mostly Christian’s who are taught the old testament quite literally and therefor view supporting Israel as supporting gods plan
Pleasantly surprised that Germany voted for. I mean, the Germans I know are pro-Palestine but I thought their country was anti with how they've been arresting protestors left and right.
I feel this is largely influenced by their... troubled past with Jews. I think their position on Israel is them trying to make up for their crimes against Jews (and other ethnic groups) during WWII. Misguided and likely influenced by lobbyists, but still.
Those are 12 countries I will never ever step foot in ever in my lifetime and neither should you. A nation which represents itself by essentially voting for a holocaust is a nation that needs to collapse in on itself and cease to exist.
Their new right-wing government that was recently elected after they defeated the leftist party that was pro-Palestine is seeking to realign itself with the US, they just recently reopened ties with Israel after they were cut due to the genocide
South Korea appears under its official name, Republic of Korea (ROK), and they voted in favor.
North Korea appears as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and they weren't able to vote

Ukraine only abstained so they don’t jeopardize their support coming from the US and the rest of Europe. If they really hated Palestine, they would have voted against the resolution. Abstaining is a clear sign that they are trying to stay neutral to not isolate them from any potential ally.
Yeah I can agree with that too. Ukraine is currently suffering their own brutal genocide too and with US backing although not ideal they are abstaining which is better than being against it, if they lost US support it could mean a lot of trouble for them.
Israel basically controls the US at this point and seems to have to much influence in general, it's sad to see.
I'm sure with time and in the future they will be In Favour.

Fuck Ukraine for not backing it. Why the fuck is my country aiding Ukraine with billions when they turn the blind eye on Palestine??
Actually it is because they are getting American support that they have to Ukraine is a vassal state, their foreign policies have to align with the USA. I don't blame Ukrainians for this, it's foreign policy bullshit.
I dont doubt that part of it is to appease usa, but there is no doubt that ukraine always has been an ally to israel. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/1/19/palestinians-in-ukraine-decry-double-standard-as-kyiv-supports-israel The interesting part is that israel is one of the few countries that hasnt sanctioned russia.
That article is from 2024, when Ukraine was still relying on support from the US. And it was after October 7th, so it’s no wonder that Ukraine was backing the US decision at that time.
Because ukraine supports israel and vice versa. they see it as weakening russia and Iran. https://archive.ph/JCZ0j And let’s not pretend that ukraine doesnt have a “nazi” issue https://www.newglobalpolitics.org/how-nazi-collaborators-are-celebrated-in-wartime-ukraine/
They literally share the same ideology and sponsors. Is it really a surprise?
They still need US weapons to keep Russia from advancing faster. If they don't vote with Donny and Bibi then no more aid for Ukraine and they will be the next Gaza. See how politics work

There's a colour involved with Ukranian people and Israeli people
or maybe Ukraine is also poor with no money
That makes no sense lol
im not wrong lol
Ukraine is poor so they don't want genocide victims in another country to receive aid is infact wrong
maybe this post is fake
There's an alternative but for you to understand what it is you wouldn't have said the shite you've said in the first place
Zelnesky is Jewish plus he need American backing so badly
It's to appease the USA, I don't blame them for not taking some grand stand against the US while relying on it to fight of a foreign invader
Albania seriously abstained? What the hell? Are they not a Muslim-majority country
Muslim majority doesn’t mean anything
Saudi.Arabia is Muslim majority yet they're some of the worst in the world when it comes to basically anything, including Palestine.
I hate them so much. They were given everything and became the most despicable of mankind.
What did they do?
Saudi Arabia? Slavery, brutal censorship, life sentences for criticizing the government, cutting off limbs for petty offenses etc
[removed]
Right and what about their genocide in yemen? Exporting Salafism over the world which is one of the major factors in rise of extremism in islam?
I’m sorry but this is the first i heard of this happening in Yemen, a genocide? What the heck do you have a link or something so i can read about it?

Google is free brother
They genocided Yemen for one
As an albanian I'm not proud of this!
I’m Albanian, Albania is desperate for a spot in the EU and sucks America’s toes no matter what. I’m not surprised they abstained
The only country in the world where islam is shrinking.. that alone says a lot.
Huh?
Most countries in MENA and SEA have not been on Palestine's side
They haven't but the others at least are on their side vocally. This is an extra slap on the face when despite being Muslim majority, you don't care enough to give a visual gesture
Albania is extremely diverse in terms of religion. Furthermore, most Albanians are de facto atheists and religion is more about picking who you think made the world and where are you going each Sunday.
What's with the island nations? How come they voted like this?
Money or compromised, always. Most of their tourists are probably deep pocket zio types.
They rely heavily on U.S. aid. The Marshall Islands, Nauru, Micronesia and Palau were among a handful of countries that opposed Trump moving the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem
Nauru is not in the Compact of Free Association.
Palau and Micronesia were formerly US ruled territory and their citizens enjoy freedom of movement and employment in the US, plus the countries have access to US federal programs. They’re not likely to risk angering the US
The US owns them.
Tonga dont like giving out food, they need to maintain their 70% obese population ranking
I had this same thought and a friend (who is an islander) pointed out that Tonga, Samoa etc are mostly Christian’s who are taught the old testament quite literally and therefor view supporting Israel as supporting gods plan
Who ever abstained are just shit
Look at Ukraine
They need the US money
Look at Russia supporting!
Pleasantly surprised that Germany voted for. I mean, the Germans I know are pro-Palestine but I thought their country was anti with how they've been arresting protestors left and right.
Don’t get things mixed up, Germany is still israels nr 2 bootlicker but they still care about their image.
All of the videos coming out, with regards to how they are brutally attacking protesters indicate that they care more about isreal than their image.
I feel this is largely influenced by their... troubled past with Jews. I think their position on Israel is them trying to make up for their crimes against Jews (and other ethnic groups) during WWII. Misguided and likely influenced by lobbyists, but still.

Yo, post that meme of the map.

this?
This is hilarious
I treat this list as "do NOT travel" list. Will take my dollars elsewhere In sha Allah
Presumably Ukraine's walking a tightrope to try to keep the US (at least partially) on side.
In 2022 Zelensky was keen to hold “peace talks” in Jerusalem, of all places. He’s one of them.
How can anyone NOT BACK humanitarian aid? This is NOT human.
Ukrainian bots in here working overtime to defend their Nazi government and military.
Fuck Argentina, Paraguay and now Bolivia and their puppet regimes siding with the evil of the world
https://preview.redd.it/m0s3gem1667g1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cd08e2da7b7611a3ab819b9cbfd06242cc20c67
Ukraine shouldn’t surprise anyone…
Why did Bolivia
abstainvote against?Their new right-wing government that was recently elected after they defeated the leftist party that was pro-Palestine is seeking to realign itself with the US, they just recently reopened ties with Israel after they were cut due to the genocide
What does the plain black (e.g next to the DRC) means?
These are countries that lose their right to vote for not paying their dues. They can’t pay because of US sanctions.
South Korea? But North Korea can vote?
South Korea appears under its official name, Republic of Korea (ROK), and they voted in favor. North Korea appears as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and they weren't able to vote
DPRK voted in favour along with RK. I was being really stupid and putting DRC as RK.
Maybe weren’t even present at the vote? Vs. formal abstention
Abstention?
What do you mean? I see a green next to South Korea.
I find it funny that Tonga, which is the world's fattest country, voted against giving out food

So those 12 don't have to participate in the invasion of Israel to get food to Gaza.
As an American Christian, I'm ashamed that my country voted against it.
Que asco esos 3 ejemplos latinoamericanos, una pena y vergüenza
Papua new guinea?? Okay indonesia, do your thing
Always the same

Good to see reason here. Ukraine is probably doing this to ensure they get aid. They're excused here.
Paraguay? The fuck? You are no Uruguay Para!
What does it mean if there’s no icon?
Time for Israel to still refuse to allow aid into Gaza and the world to still look the other way and do nothing
Yeah, America, you are the baddies
Can’t wait to see yet another GA resolution be ignored with no consequence.
