For anyone in Washington and NW Oregon looking for like-minded pro-2A folk:

We founded PNW Armed Liberals (PNWAL) early this year as a way to connect with other non-MAGA gun owners in our local areas to have some known friendlies to shoot and train with. Especially for owners (or would be owners) that are women/queer/trans/people of color/neurodivergent or any combination thereof and don’t feel especially comfortable in “gun culture” and “gun spaces”.

PNWAL is intended to foster a welcoming, safe and diverse community of non-traditional gun owners, with a goal of normalizing guns and gun ownership among the left leaning population here in Washington.

Most of our membership is currently in Western Washington, around the Puget Sound and also in Vancouver/PDX, with groups on the West side of the sound and the East side of the Cascades. We typically have at least a couple of range meetups a month as well as some informal social gatherings and some other skill sharing type trainings (communications, rifle building, etc.)

We don't have a public website yet (in process) but we do maintain a private, invite-only forum and Signal Group. If you are interested, our membership application is here.

There's no cost to join and we don't ask anyone to break anonymity in order to connect with us. We're founded on much the same principles as this subreddit: We're explicitly liberal/left-leaning and explicitly pro-2A. We're happy to welcome new owners or those considering becoming owners, as well as those with any level of shooting experience.
