You are confusing a monetary run on a bad economy,for most sectors related to energy the economy has seen a net positive(mining,banking and engineering) alongside stagnation or even small digit positive increase on some industries.
The peso had a run not because of the economy but because because people thought peronism was getting back on power and going to dirail the whole economic plan.
