Buddy of mine and I built this years ago. An old AC fan from a server rack spliced onto a light switch with a dimmer switch and a two prong plug.
Made "safe" with a bunch of black electrical tape and a stand made of Legos to keep it up and out of the casual range of fingers and wires on my desk

Sketchy sure, but deadly? Naaaah. Just don't touch the wires.
Yep. It's 110. It's not great to take a jolt from it, but it has to be very specific circumstances to make it deadly.
This is perfectly fine kid
How is this deadly? This sub has gone so downhill

Lmao you said “swipe the pics” but have no idea what you’re looking at or talking about. I love reddit.

That this is not deadly and it is one of dozens of low quality and low effort posts that are making this sub go to shit lol

As an electrician, not deadly. Not even dangerous really.

Explain? Still looks fine, unless the whole plate is powered
Oh what? Nothing about this is dangerous, let alone deadly
I've seen stupider shit work safely, sadly.
Some of y’all had a boring childhood.
Not deadly, just stupid. This was the worst way to do this really.
