Wtf!
I didn't see that but then assumed that circular part, right in the lower, left-center below the owner dash was the barrel that was pointing directly at the driver.
If they left it in the car while dropping it off at the mechanics, they probably leave it in the car almost every time they park. The largest source of stolen firearms are guns left in vehicles, and this guy put it at almost eye level for anyone walking by or peeking in the window.
Wait wait. He brought his car in to the shop and just left his gun there?? What in case the mechanic wanted to use it or something?? Just hey, here’s a free gun, hope everyone at the shop is cool with this and more responsible about guns than I am (low bar, to be fair).
Don't the rules of gun safety include things like: 'treat all guns as loaded' and 'don't point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot'? If they are violating 2 such basic rules I sure as hell don't trust them to properly engage their safety.
How much do you trust a safety? Sure this doesn’t look like an Sig, but if it’s pointed at me I don’t consider any safety as 100% foolproof. I’m also pretty certain that gun manufacturers are not thinking of this kind of set up being in a car wreck
when they design the safety mechanism, again not something I would put that level of trust in.
Another, and admittedly maybe more likely though probably less obvious, danger here though is having an object that can go flying straight into the driver’s head if they are rear ended. A full sized polymer pistol like that is about a pound and a half unloaded maybe two pounds fully loaded. I’ve seen some pretty wild injuries caused by much lighter objects in MVCs.
Either way this person is certainly relying on not having an unlucky day with this set up.

It took me way too long to find that, cuz who the fuck mounts a gun on their visor‽!!
Wow thank you what the actual fuck
I almost gave up looking lol
I thought it was a dash cam.
totally
Still didn't find the gun. Found three Waldo though by now.
I had to check the comments, I didnt see it up there either, I was looking low lol
Same. I thought it was the blunderbuss looking thing on the passenger side in front of the seat...

I guess my brain made it make sense.
Who tf leaves a gun in the open in a car at the shop?
Go scroll through r/justrolledinwithagun. I just found out about it today from the original poster of this Darwin Award in action
There's a whole 3 posts... not much to scroll through

At least It's not a 320. 😅
(Jokes aside doing this with any firearm is nuts)
When you can’t afford to get into another car crash
That's insanity to holster it on the visor. Side question...Is that a pack of menthols in the center console?
Edit: if the gun doesn't get them, the smokes will 😂
Sure is, and it's not even a GOOD pack of menthols.
The Gun of Damocles
We all saw what happened to Marvin when they hit that pot hole!
That’s why they have the handicap parking slip
Hope it’s not a P320

It's genius really... you can't steal my car if I'm already dead.
IKnowThatFeel
Now I agree this is the dumbest way to mount your firearm, but I guess we all think there is no safety on it? Dumb as F**k yes, deadly meh.

Rules of gun safety only apply when you’re holding the gun! /s
