TL; DR CDS delivered these orange kitties and we decided to rescue and keep them. When they were small I’d do kitten earmuffs. Purring kittens in each ear is ASMR and it was magnificent.

These babies! My husband and I were walking while our son was in therapy. We went down a dog path where everyone was focused on themselves and their dogs. Good thing, because husband spotted a kitten in the grass and another one a couple feet back in the woods.

We gained their trust fairly quickly. My husband left to get a box and over the course of that 10 min run to our car, both kittens had crawled into my lap. I called husband and told him to pick up a cat carrier and cans of food. They immediately recognized the sound of the can opening, so they were familiar with humans. They also were litter trained.

Both kittens were missing part of one of their legs (caused by a disgusting and horrible person). Pínto may need a full amputation someday if she develops arthritis, which is $4k. Fortunately that day is not today. Skimo and Pínto get around quite fine with 3 legs. They were determined to be between 10-12 weeks according to the vet.

We brought them in, bathed them, brought them to the vet, found no microchips or info on missing cats. We kept these sweet babies.

They’re orange ladies, tripods, and have polydactyl paws. They’re special and rare. We love them so much. They’ll stay very small because of malnourishment earlier in life. Poor babies. They’re so loved now.
