He predates shittymorph by a few years… maybe shittymorph came up with what he did organically, but I always suspected he simply ripped off RogerSimon’s schtick
That's become a criminally underrated movie over the years too. It's great but seems to have been damn near lost to time in terms of discussion about movies of that era, even niche or indie ones.
For anyone who isn't already following u/Shittymorph, do yourself a favor and follow his account. He posts some awesome updates of him and his rescue dog Scooby.
Shittymorph, if you happen to read this, thank you for all you do and your hilarious comments about Undertaker and Mankind. Your work with Scooby has restored a little bit of my faith in humanity.
This is absolutely true, Scooby's story is worth a read.
I check up on his profile from time to time, especially when I lose faith in mankind and how back in nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table.
I know I'm on the internet too much because I know who Shittymorph is but not who Patrick Fugit is.
Sorry about your friend, I've lost a couple people close to my age, some a little old and some a little younger, their memory hangs on you, you always think "they should be here for this, things would be better if they were here" but they will never be there. Absolutely crushing sometimes.
I'm ngl I spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to remember which reddit user did an 'almost famous' commenting gimmick before reading/understanding
I went to high school with David Fetzer. We didn’t run in the same circles, so I didn’t know him all that well, but he was a deeply kind, sensitive soul, and it came through in spades in his acting. Even on a campus full of talented people, he was like a beacon. His loss still hits hard.
A lot of people here on Reddit over the last 10 years know about a meme I worked on...
Under-fucking-statement of the century
You're the reason I have trust issues in reddit comments. Just as soon as I start to learn something really interesting from a comment..I have to make sure it isn't you!!
Sir, your work is greatly appreciated and a delight to find in the wild. This is a cool photo and a cool insight into one of Reddit’s legends, thanks for sharing!
I started inserting the Mankind/Undertaker surprise at the end of long work emails to see if anybody was reading them all the way through, and I learned a lot about my coworkers.
I was unaware but that’s cool. I’ve been on Reddit in and off for 20 years or however long, back to its original purpose, but I can’t say I’ve ever been too aware of any intra-Reddit lore or celebrity commenters. I probably spent too much hanging out on the misc or something during Reddit’s formative transition years
shittymorph posts comments with elaborate stories that always end with "back in nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table."
You've got probably the only username I'd recognize.
Neat to have some lore.
Always enjoyed your comments back in the day thought haven't seen one in years.
This reminds me to check in on u/Poem_for_your_sprog. Alas, hasn’t commented in a while.
And then we must go further back… to Unidan.
Ah I remember him fondly and also fuck unidan for being the og karmawhore. The excited biologist/chemist (I don’t remember which)
He was a corvidologist.
I think you mean a jackdrawologist.
Here's the thing...
TY! :)
Jumper cable guy deserves to be better known.
He predates shittymorph by a few years… maybe shittymorph came up with what he did organically, but I always suspected he simply ripped off RogerSimon’s schtick
I legit miss Roger. I don’t think any single internet user has ever made me laugh that hard.

Were you distracted by thoughts of 1998?
Is someone about to get tossed into a folding table?
This is what we all want to know.
Were you blinded by its majesty?
Hey, I had that same exact Pink Floyd shirt! I miss that one, it's frigging cool. Time and too many washes took its toll though.
You gotta take it off, son!
Every once in a while!!
Next time you talk to him, please tell him Wristcutters is an amazing piece of cinema and he is fantastic in it
Love you attributing undertaker/mankind as your defining work vs Fugit’s Almost Famous/Gone Girl. You may be the more prolific.
What did Mankind think of the movie?
I can't tell if you're playing a prank or if this is legit.
American actor Shittymoph,1990s. Finally some legit old school cool again.
Love u/shittymorph attributing undertaker/mankind as your defining work vs Fugit’s Almost Famous/Gone Girl. You may be the most prolific of the group.
I had such a big crush on Patrick Fugit during this era.
Me too. I loved him in Saved
That's become a criminally underrated movie over the years too. It's great but seems to have been damn near lost to time in terms of discussion about movies of that era, even niche or indie ones.
Omg I came here to comment this. I sought out every movie with him in it!!

He is Legend! The man! The myth! And handsome devil! Thanks for all the suprise laughs, Shittymorph.
I can't believe I'm the first to reply in a thread to an absolute legend. Thank you.
I specifically dont follow him so I can get got in the wild. Its happened 3 times so far.
Wait. What? Look at u/Shittymorph posts….TIL Shittymorph is Scooby’s human. Shittymorph got me again. Scooby! Thank you.
Same here. Pretty surprised I didn’t notice sooner.
Followed
He also knows about very important historical events that happened in 1998.
This is absolutely true, Scooby's story is worth a read.
I check up on his profile from time to time, especially when I lose faith in mankind and how back in nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table.
Well now I'm fucking crying, but also very proud to know he is from the Bay
Very cool. Watched Almost Famous again yesterday. One of my favorites.
I haven’t seen it in ages, but it’s one that I still think about and quote regularly.
Cameron Crowes new book came out a couple of months ago, good stuff
A mere 1 year after...... well you know what.
Go on…say the line!
I didn’t do it
This is some deep lore I wasn't aware of
I know I'm on the internet too much because I know who Shittymorph is but not who Patrick Fugit is.

Reddit top brass right there!
Next thing you know, Unidan will be posting about animals again.
Ha
Cool memories! Thank you for sharing.
Hold me closer, under taker.
Woah.
I'm ngl I spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to remember which reddit user did an 'almost famous' commenting gimmick before reading/understanding
No! Stop!! They were never kids!!
Legend.
Almost as famous as old cumbox.
You still act or did you go into writing (outside of Reddit trolling)?
Dude, if you run into Patrick, can you tell him some dork on the internet loves Almost Famous to an insane degree?
Have you ever had the privilege of meeting the undertaker?
Hello big fan of yours. Thanks for the cool pick
Patrick fugit played that guy frisbee on the movie spun. He was the slothful naive dude playing video games all the time.
The movie Spun….shudders
I went to high school with David Fetzer. We didn’t run in the same circles, so I didn’t know him all that well, but he was a deeply kind, sensitive soul, and it came through in spades in his acting. Even on a campus full of talented people, he was like a beacon. His loss still hits hard.
Yeah, what a talented, kind guy. Rip
Always good to see you pop up, u/shittymorph
I'm too employed for this, wtf is this supposed to mean? What's the lore here?
[deleted]
Nah, keep it. This is actual cool stuff...not the repeated posts of famous hot women of the 50s-90s.
Under-fucking-statement of the century
You're the reason I have trust issues in reddit comments. Just as soon as I start to learn something really interesting from a comment..I have to make sure it isn't you!!
Thanks for all the fun
I say this with all due respect, but the amount of times I've uttered motherfucker got me a-fucking-gain is too damn high
Same here. I turn into Lucille Bluth when she sees Gene Parmesan
There’s nothing quite like catching a u/shittymorph comment in the wild and going WEEEELLLL FUCK!!!
Yeah def selling themselves short. I had to triple check a comment the other day to make sure it wasnt them
honestly... shittymorph has to be the most famous redditor of all time at this point.
Sir, your work is greatly appreciated and a delight to find in the wild. This is a cool photo and a cool insight into one of Reddit’s legends, thanks for sharing!
I can’t believe that for the first time in nearly a decade, I was actually expecting it and you didn’t fucking deliver.
I started inserting the Mankind/Undertaker surprise at the end of long work emails to see if anybody was reading them all the way through, and I learned a lot about my coworkers.
Don't sell yourself short my guy, nothing you've done in and out of reddit has been a waste, don't forget that.
Oh, please don't, this is lovely to see!
Buddy your Undertaker/Mankind comments are just pure gold. Finding them was like finding an Easter egg everytime.
I was unaware but that’s cool. I’ve been on Reddit in and off for 20 years or however long, back to its original purpose, but I can’t say I’ve ever been too aware of any intra-Reddit lore or celebrity commenters. I joined in the summer of 2006. We are old timers.
Funny how there are so often 100 positive comments on a post, but the one negative comment is the one that gets people's attention.
An unfortunate reality.
shittymorph posts comments with elaborate stories that always end with "back in nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table."
Such a great movie. Very quotable too.
What
Those are certainly words put adjacently
not sure who they are or what it means?
I have posted something similar to the 1998 topic a few times, out of respect and also to make sure that least we forget
In 1998 Undertaker tossed Mankind off the Hell in the Cell..
The future is going to be weird without grainy black and white pictures to know that they were taken long ago.
This is not Undertaker or Mankind
Correct, its shittymorph
SLC boys
RIP David Fetzer
I used to have that same pink Floyd shirt
Those were the days.
This is what they mean when they say the best nights are the ones you didn’t plan
I had that Floyd shirt
Shittymorph is just too cool
Epic thread
I know who Patrick is. Never heard of OP or what he has to do with Undertaker or Mankind
Someday you'll get got and then you'll understand
Do yourself a favor and follow him. And check his comment history. He's one of the foundation stones of reddit.
Is this not Stranger Things?
1999? This looks like its straight from 2008
