A new perspective of the ship I haven’t seen before. This was taken at some point in the early to mid 70s, maybe during Swedish American Lines last year in operation. Stunning ship, if only she was still with us… rest in pieces!
Absolutely splendid ship. My favorite Scandinavian liner. Really beautiful! So sad that she was scrapped. Very recently, actually. She was scrapped at a time when we were aware that scrapping all those liners was a bad idea and we were starting to regret scrapping all those others in the years before. A rather small liner, she could have been preserved like the Rotterdam, perhaps in Sweden. Shame.
