I want to get a nicer grinder and would like to patronize a local biz.... who might have a good selection of reasonably priced coffee grinders (like under $250).
You can do espresso with different burrs, though I’d still pick another if that’s all you do. Definitely get the second gen with the anti-static features.
maybe it was just my luck, but I wouldn’t reccomend Fellow’s grinders. I had a lot of ground retention with the Opus. Have had a lot better luck with the DF54 at a similar price point.
Ain’t Normal has coffee equipment.
Just get an encore there. It's hard to beat at the price point
solid recommendation. love my encore.
My encore is loud as fuck though.
That’s just the sound of hard work.
Fair.
It’s the best
Sweet Maria's has grinders. You might need to order online but you can pick it up at their place on Adeline
This is the answer.
If you’re just doing non espresso the ode gen 2 from fellow has been great in our home.

Fellow is from SF https://fellowproducts.com/pages/san-francisco-store

Kanen Coffee Espresso Machines in west Berkeley
The Crown. Awesome place that does roasting and could definitely point you in the right direction if for some reason they don't have it
i’m sure they could make some recs but they don’t really sell grinders if i recall. happy to be corrected otherwise
Coffe is good but this place sucks. Never met more pretentious and standoffish baristas/workers.
Have you been to St frank?
Have you been to Hedge Coffee?
Yeah
Sweet Marias. You can buy a roaster there too, along with green beans, and roast your own coffee.
