Anyone have Ryan loney or Hyeonglae Cho for stats 1450, how were they if you have had them in the past? What was the class dynamic, workload, exam difficulty etc. Thank you!

  • Both Ryan Loney and Hyeonglae Cho are solid choices for STAT 1450. Loney is known for being approachable and supportive, with clear recitations and fair grading, while Cho emphasizes structured lectures and expects steady practice.
The workload is consistent across instructors: two midterms, a final, and regular assignments but, from my past students, exams test reasoning as much as formulas.

  • Ryan is pretty good but his lectures are sooooo boring, he talks so monotone and choppy , but there isn’t much homework
