I have OCd and Bipolar 1. I used to be on 80mg’s of Prozac. Then it caused me to have mania/psychosis. Now after a long journey of meds I am on Clomipramine 250mg’s which doesn’t really help. Then I was prescribed Vraylar for my bipolar 1 instead of Abilify. I am on 3mg’s of Vraylar. And guess what?! It’s much quieter. It not only helps my depression and bipolar but helps my OCD as my Psychiatrist said it might
I guess Vraylar is used off label for ones not having success with SSRI’s
SSRIs can cause mania on its own. Has your prescriber ever mentioned Lithium Carbonate to manage Bipolar Disorder? Proper lifestyle changes and therapy can go a far way for managing anxiety/depression.
