MATTOON, Ill. (WICS) — A Mattoon pastor appeared in court Monday on a Class X felony charge of child pornography/reproduce or move depiction.

Douglas Overmyer, accused of reproducing child pornography, was ordered held without the possibility of pretrial release this week, according to court records. During the initial appearance, prosecutors filed formal charges and a petition seeking to deny pretrial release.

Overmyer is a Founder of Seers See Ministries, a site to teach children about the seeing gift, help seers cope with their gift, and to offer guidance to those who parent them, those who are friends with them, and those who pastor them.

Overmyer is also Executive Director of CHI RHO Outdoors, a Christ-centered hunting and fishing club for boys.

The court scheduled a preliminary hearing for Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. The judge also advised him of potential penalties and his right to appeal the detention order.
