I've lived in Las Vegas for nearly 3 decades, and there have been TONS of teachers with similar accusations here. It's shockingly common.
I've also known of two specific example where the school (one at CCSD and one at Las Vegas Academy) settled with the parents of the child and fired the teacher, avoiding involving law enforcement. Those teachers are no doubt still predators in some other state.
"Coffield, who was removed from his Green Valley assignment in August, is accused of raping the previously identified victim in a campus dressing room days before she was scheduled to graduate. She told detectives she became pregnant but believed she suffered a miscarriage."
That poor girl. How do you ever come back from that nightmare? That's a wound that will never heal...
Obviously, going to therapy is better than not going to therapy, and I hope she is given access, but nothing will make the event not have occurred.
