In 2005, I was 25. My goals were to get a better position where I worked, and to get pregnant with our first child. I accomplished both of those, however the later eliminated the former in 2006.
Looking back, I should have been more focused on my career at that age. With wisdom comes knowledge, and hindsight is 20/20!
I was in middle school. Honestly wasn’t the happiest kid. My parents were going through a nasty divorce, so my life wasn’t the best at the time.
I wasn’t very focused on school. I had done very well in elementary school, but really started to slip after my parents’ divorce. My only real goal at the time was to get an xbox 360. I had saved up all year for one. I remember being jealous hearing about other kids getting xbox 360s for christmas. Luckily, I had saved up enough money to get one in early 2006. It’s the small victories that count haha
I was using my pink Motorola RAZR flip phone, updating my my space, including my top, eight friends and living life to the fullest. I was in college, making friends and felt like I had way more time in the world. I really did and wish I had gotten out a little bit more. I was going through a lot then and trying to overcome some stressful situations.
I was 3 and decided I did not want to immigrate so my mum, grandma and 3 grown men had to wrangle me onto a plane where I promptly screamed for 2 hours straight
In 2005 I was way more optimistic than informed, thought I had everything figured out lol. My goals were pretty simple and very dramatic at the same time, I wanted my life to feel meaningful fast. I didn’t hit those exact dreams, but looking back I’m kinda glad because I grew into different ones. It feels less shiny now but way more real.
I was getting ready to drop out of college and follow my passions of riding bikes, playing music and taking photos. I’m still following those dreams now, but I went back to school in 2010 and earned a new media art degree, and now I work at a top tier architectural firm building fancy houses. I wish I had all the free time I had back in 2005!
I had a good full time job, but I spent a lot of the year training and preparing for a deployment to Iraq with my National Guard unit. (We left in January 2006.)
All I remember about 2005 is falling into a deep depression over losing the best job I ever had because the company moved, and obsessing over Hurricane Katrina. Not my best year.
Right there with you. Not my best year. I hit rock bottom and got sober that year. Did a lot of damage, hurt a lot of people, but it was also the year I turned things around.
I started grad school. Graduated in 2007, started paying dues/building a resume, and got my dream job in 2016. Still have that job and while nothing is as good as the fantasy, it's not too far off. 2005 was probably a pretty good year for me.
Being a young, single parent to an amazing 2 year old. I was in college, going for my degree in education (I won't ever be able to utilize my degree), still being a raver, just living life. Nothing too big!
3 years old. Family moving from Detroit from Houston. Hurricane Rita. Goals? Learn every kind of apple (my class had a whole unit on apples for some reason).
Pretty simple, worked as a manger at a pizza joint. Same town I’m living in now. Sat around and skated played video games, taking trips up to Seattle for about 6 months to see my now ex “wife” no kids, plenty of money. Bills paid on time if not in advance. It was bliss.
I graduated that spring and turned 18 that summer. I went to the Warped Tour with my boyfriend. I moved states and started going to college. On the first day of college my boyfriend, who I thought was going to have a long-distance relationship with me, dumped me via MSN messenger my first day of college. I used an olive green flip phone and drove a 92 jeep grand Cherokee. I had a few jobs working at fast food places.
I was in tenth grade. Facebook was just coming on the scene for high schoolers and it changed the way we all interacted with each other. Pretty crazy to experience firsthand
I was 9 so I was pretty focused on Star Wars battlefront and Pokémon emerald. Also baseball and basketball. My grandmother always brought me some nice books too. Miss her.
Did you mean 2025?
Edited to add: Please, put the question as your title. TY!

The year I graduated high school

I would've been in 7th grade, and become obsessed with skateboarding. I was just starting to like girls, too. Very awkward year for me lol
Had so much energy!!! Worked a full time job, a part time job, and still managed to hang out with my sweetie almost daily. Good times.
I was in grade 9 and then 10. I thought I was going to be a comic book artist, i originally wanted to be an architect but I hated math in grade 9.
